Happy Monday!

Today I’m finally able to share with you something new & exciting to the Gussy Sews blog/community. One of my favorite parts about this blog is the community we have built together. It truly warms my heart to see you respond to each others comments and to share Gussy Sews blog/shop links on twitter or facebook. It’s been clear to me for awhile now that the Gussy Sews community is full of inspiration :] I love it and I want to celebrate it!!!

So — having said that, it’s time to introduce to you the Inspiration Workshop!. Starting Thursday, June 2nd ~ and happening each week thereafter, we’ll be linking up & sharing what inspires us. All the details are outlined on this page, so I hope you’ll click over to read all the details.

Here’s a super simple rundown:
On Fridays, an email newsletter will be sent out containing the week’s inspiration prompt. Then on Thursdays, six days later, you’ll blog about the prompt {how you interpreted it, what it made you think of, etc.} and you’ll come back HERE to link up your post.

This linky party is going to be a great way to find/flourish inspiration and to meet other bloggers. I’m very much looking forward to how we can encourage one another and continue building this community.

You can join the newsletter by clicking here, or you can sign up in the right sidebar of this blog.

There’s even a nifty button for you to grab:

Gussy Sews Inspiration Workshop!

One thing I do want to add — possibly the most important part of this workshop, is this:
The Inspiration Workshop! was created so you feel inspired — not so you feel defeated that you aren’t creative or talented enough because you aren’t crafty or a skilled photographer or a baker, or the like. I want to emphasis the fact that it’s OK to share photos that inspire you, but not necessarily ones you take yourself. {Please make sure you give credit.} The purpose of this linky party is to encourage us to find inspiration and beauty around us {in real life, online, etc.}. There are no walls or limitations here. Everyone is invited and we are all amazingly talented. So please, join us! ♥

So, I hope that you’ll sign up and that I’ll see your AMAZING post on Thursday, June 2nd.
The first email newsletter will be sent this Friday ~ May 27th.

Spread the word!
xoxo

How fun! I might have signed up 4 or 5 times. I keep hitting submit, but it doesn’t look like anything is happening. I guess I’ll find out Friday if it worked. :)

Hey Amanda, I did the same thing because nothing was happening. But then I clicked on the “Inspiration Workshop” link above and signed up and that worked. It took me to a “confirm your subscription” page so I know it worked that time. Good luck!

Thanks! I went over and signed up over there and it said I had made too many requests with that address, so I think that means it worked!

Amanda, I did the VERY same thing. I kept clicking it over and over. I never got the message that said I made too many requests though… guess I didn’t click it enough. ;o)

Can we do this if we don’t even know how to sew? I know…stupidest. question. ever. But I’d love to come along, be inspired and do something with paper and/or paint if it works that way!! :)

      absolutely!

the only requirement is you link to a photo in your post (one you took or one you found online), and that somehow relates to the inspiration prompt. there are no limitations to this workshop — no requirements on what your talents are! be free to be creative ♥!
