Dear Sister reading,
The concept of “sisterhood” is very personal to me. I didn’t grow up having a sister, but I have grown up with dear friends who love me like a sister. Throughout my life, through all the adventures and hardships and blessings, my “sisters” have walked alongside me. These sisters have encouraged me, roared with laughter with me, and have sat with me during some very lonely life seasons.
Do you ever wonder, “What is my identity?” Scripture does a beautiful job at showing us just how loved we are by God, but sadly all too often we don’t open our Bibles to hear from our Creator. Do you know you are deeply and tenderly you are loved by God? This is most certainly true!
The visual described for us in Psalm 91 verse 4 brings us such comfort:
“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge.”
I also love Isaiah 43:1,
“Fear not, for I am redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are Mine.”
I certainly have my days and seasons of difficulty, whether with motherhood, marriage, or relationships. But to be reminded through scripture of His peaceful presence is so comforting. Any time I’m feeling sad, burdened, or lonely, I open the scriptures to remind myself of these truths.
Below is a small list of the many identities we bear when we are rooted in Christ. Want even more Biblical encouragement? Click here.
You are capable because He will equip you. YOU CAN because HE IS.
I’m cheering for you, dear Sister.
xx, Maggie
