Two of my devotionals: inside the NEW (in)courage Bible!

I’m really, really happy to share with you my latest devotional writing opportunity…

Two of my devotionals for women have been published inside the NEW (in)courage Bible! And friends, the inside design is lovely. The color palette is encouraging, the gathered content is full of beautiful details, and because it’s the written Word of God the language is rich and promising.

Inside this Bible you’ll find page after page of devotionals, character profiles highlighting 50 women of the Bible, book introductions, theme verses, and more!

Over 120 women have contributed to this Truth-filled project. It’s so exciting to have a part in it.

As a contributor I wrote two devotionals focusing on Proverbs 14:1 (“Confessions of Hospitality Gone Awry” ) and Lamentations 5 (“A Prayer of Restoration”). You can get a glimpse of them below ;)

To hold this Bible in my hands is such an answered prayer as this has been a writing dream of mine for about six years. How amazing to be here today, sharing with you my good news! :)

Do you have a devotional Bible? I have a couple and I love them so much. They make opening my Bible and selecting a passage to read very easy, and reading about different women in the Bible makes the journey through my story even more personal.

If you’re interested, here is a link to purchase the new (in)courage Bible — shown here is the LeatherTouch cover (under $42), but there are a variety of cover options to choose from starting at $25.

By the way, I usually keep my Bible on a cake stand in my kitchen for two reasons: 1. to avoid spills and, 2.) having it near means it’s ready to read (because I’m always in my kitchen). When my Bible is put up on the bookshelf I don’t read it nearly as much.

“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. ‘The LORD is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘therefore I will hope in him.'” — Lamentations 3:22-24 ESV

I’m really, realllllly happy to share this writing project with you. Thanks for celebrating with me!

PS. If you’re not already familiar with (in)courage, they’re a blog community of Christian writers (written under the umbrella of DaySpring / Hallmark) and they produce wonderful devotional content each day. Many years ago I worked with (in)courage to provide a Gussy Sews tote bag for their team of writers. Does anyone remember that? So fun. xx

PPS. Would you consider sharing this post with your online community or your dearest friend using one of the below links? I would love to answer any questions you have on the Gospel, Bible translation recommendations (this one is ESV), Biblical encouragement :) Thank you in advance.
