Our precious baby has arrived!

Maxwell Zackary Whitley
Born 3/12 at 11:47pm
9lbs, 7.5oz and 21″ — such a big boy :)

Maxwell is currently in the NICU for a couple of minor complications. I labored for over 30 hours before delivering Maxwell via c-section. Please keep both of us in your prayers.

We are so in love with Maxwell!!!! He’s so precious and we love his blonde wavy hair ;)

I can’t wait to share more updates as our family continues to rest and bond. xo

Congrats!! I’m crying here because I knew when we didn’t hear from you so long that something happened… I have been so worried about you. I had a very horrible labor with my daughter. I just hoped you didn’t have a similar experience. It has been a few months and I’m still emotional about how hard/horrible my experience was. I’m happy that labor is over for you. I’m praying your physical and emotional recovery is quick. We mothers need all the strength we can get. I hope you have felt the prayers said for you.

Congrats! Just a few minutes off from sharing Charlie’s birthday! He (and Eddie) were Csection babies (Eddie’s was emergency after about 30+ hours of labor too) and both babies were BIG! Eddie was 9lbs 8 oz (on his due date!) and Charlie was 8lbs 6oz (week before his due date due to scheduled Csection).

He is beautiful and prayers are definitely being sent up on behalf of your whole family.

Congrats! He is beautiful! Hang in there! The same thing happened to me when I had my first child. Got induced, labored for 36 hours then had to have an emergency Csection. I was at first upset that I didn’t follow my birth plan but I came to realize that it doesn’t matter which way they came out…you go home with the same awesome baby. All that matters is that you are both ok.

@Donna, I definitely didn’t expect to have a c-section, but I also told myself often throughout the pregnancy that *anything* could happen and I would just roll with it. I think that helped more than I realize :) Labor is such a mental thing… the pain meds wear off but what kept me going was a positive mindset. Thanks for commenting! xo

Sweet baby boy! We had a NICU experience that I still cringe when I think about. It’s so difficult to have to see your sweet baby in a seemingly helpless place. But thank God that He is a mighty healer. I work where my son was in the NICU, seeing the incubators in the hallway still makes me tear up. Stay positive, get lots of rest, accept any and all help and focus on lovin’ that baby and eating and drinking well!! C-section recovery is best when you rest!! Praying for you and that bundle :)

He’s such a little angel! Congratulations! I had a c-section with my first and am having another on the 22nd this month for our little girl. I’m sure you’re getting a lot of (unsolicited) advice and don’t really need any more but don’t feel bad when you have to take it easy– especially this first week. C-sections can be rough on your body and especially with those first steps you have to take. It’s like learning to walk all over again! Let your body rest and heal and before you know it, you’ll be back on your feet! Congratulations, again! He’s SO beautiful! :)

Both my boys were c-sections, the first was an induced 37 hour labor ending in a c-section and my second son came 6 weeks early and spent time in the NICU. It sucks for a short time, but then once you are settled at home, it’s so much better then you could ever imagine.

Will be praying for you three during this time, for sure. As much as you know he’s in the best hands in the NICU, it’s hard to have your baby going through things like IV pokes and blood draws. I know from experience with my own little one! And you must be exhausted, and ecstatic, and sore… so yes, prayers indeed!

wow, so glad everything went ok. i guess it was an emergency c-section? i had one for my daughter(who will be 5 in a month and a half). i was in labor all day, two days past my due date and i was in extreme pain. i got an epdiural to relax my body and with in ten minutes, i had to get an emergency c-section to get her out because of her heart rate dropping. so without even saying a word, i was wheeled into the OR. i had never had surgery in my life or been to a hospital, so i was terrified. my husband said i looked pale and was convulsing in fear. they prepped me and before i knew it i heard her screams. i cried when they brought her out, it was such a beautiful feeling to hear her for the first time. i was wheeled into the recovery room and my husband was back and forth from the recovery room to the nursery checking on both me and my daughter. he was such a blessing helping me stand up, walking me to the bathroom and bathing me while i was in extreme pain. it took me two months to fully recover. a year and a half ago i found out i was pregnant with our second child. my daughter was so excited, we included her in all the doctor’s visits and she was there when we found out we were having a boy. she was so happy she was getting a brother. my son was born April of last year and it was a month before my daughter’s fourth birthday. she told me all she wanted for her birthday was her baby brother. i had my son via scheduled c-section which was nicer and more relaxing because i knew what to expect. i was fully walking by two weeks. it was a faster healing process. now in two weeks he will be 1. i can’t believe how time flies. i will not have anymore kids because i am happy with two. i tied my tubes while they performed my final c-section. life is such a blessing with children. congrats on your beautiful boy. he is precious!

My son Sam was 9lbs 12oz and I had the same type of delivery! I labored for 28 hours before I finally begged for a C-section due to no progress. Everyone thought I wasn’t pushing hard enough, but when they yanked out that butterball turkey they knew why! Ha!

He’s precious- and will be SO much sturdier and healthier being a big boy. Sam never got sick like his smaller baby friends, and hit all milestones quicker too because of his size.

I think I agree that the third one, with the orange cover and rgoieilus symbols is the best. It looks like you could make some sales with that one, definitely. If there’s a second choice, go for the pink and orange. But in my opinion it’s more typical of novels today. Maybe that’s a good thing. I wouldn’t blame you for favoring the last one over the third, but they say red covers are best for marketing, so avoid black (although my first book was black and white, and my sales were fairly poor).

Unquestionably believe that which you settad. Your favorite reason seemed to be on the internet the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get irked while people think about worries that they plainly do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people can take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thanks
