I have such a fun post for y’all today! My dear friend Alissa of Rags to Stitches hosts a weekly blog series called “Coffee Date” where she co-hosts with a bloggy friend. And this week I’m her bloggy friend, yeow! We live about 50 minutes from each other. Zack + I loooove to head south to visit them and of course we bring Bauer along. Alissa + Kyle are amazing; we cherish our friendship with them :)

So for this week’s Coffee Date post we’re chatting about… I guess you’ll have to watch my vlog below to get the topic —wink! One thing I specifically love about Alissa’s Coffee Date series is how it encourages us to share our hearts with each other. We can pray for each other, get to know one another a little bit, and let’s be honest — then y’all can giggle over my accent. Ha! I shared a little of what’s on my heart earlier this week and it was sooooo amazing to learn about your hearts through your comments. Thank you all for taking the time to connect with me in the comments. And just like with that post, Coffee Date allows us to connect on a deeper level.

Here’s my vlog! Join us this week by linking up below to your written post or video? xoxo

Click over + watch Alissa’s video here!

If you’re joining us for coffee today, please:
– link directly to your post, not your blog
– be sure to include a link back to my blog so others can join us for coffee
– go visit others for coffee today

What 3 things would you want to tell your younger self?

HA! I did NOT hear a Minnesota accent! I sponsor two girls with Compassion and they are both in Bolivia, someday I hope to go meet them, my first one we sponsored her when she was 7 and now she is 15 and I consider her my 6th child, I love her so much, she is such a blessing to me….TO ME. not me to her, she prays for me, encourages me, sends me pictures, I love it! my new sponsor I chose from Bolivia also in hopes that I will take that huge step and go visit them both. I’ve linked up with you, thanks!

I was going to say the same thing! I am also from Michigan, and I didn’t detect an accent at all:) I have been told that I have one though. My Allume roomie, who has lived all over but currently resides in VA, told me that right away. She says I say the word “baggie” (as in Ziplock) funny:)

@Katy (lil’ alice), Ha! Exactly :) Although the first time I heard myself from a vlog I recorded I admit, I heard an accent.

You are so adorable! I love your tips. It reminded me of something: my son is in kindergarten and his teacher talks to his class a lot about being “flexible and adaptable” because there are always things that come up throughout the school day that they did not plan for. The other day I was stressing about something and my son said to me, “remember mom, be flexible and adaptable.” Out of the mouths of babes!

I totally heard an accent. I was thinking you’d be more “valley girl” style, but you are SO a northerner. ha. I hope to get to travel with compassion and meet my sponsored child someday. LOVE the work they do.

@Courtney @ Journey of a Dreamer, Oh goodness. Not a valley girl. Whenever I see that term I think of Sweet Valley High, did you read those books? :)

      PS. cute pic!!!

I don’t know how I missed this post, but I’m glad I found it today. :) You are so inspiring! I’ve been developing my products for about two years now and am finally ready to start putting things out, and watching you I really believe I can make it too! Thank you!

Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this site. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very difficult to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appeal. I must say you’ve done a very good job with this. In addition, the blog loads very quick for me on Internet explorer. Outstanding Blog!
