Did you know that about 3.5 years ago I started sewing? You know the site, Etsy? — well I had recently found it + I was literally obsessed with the fact that girls my age not only knew how to sew but they were running a business {!!!} with this skill-set.

I thought, I must learn how to sew, too! It took me a few weeks to figure it out, and soon enough I was making zipped pouches + sewing ruffles, not realizing I was laying the groundwork for what the Gussy Sews shop would later become.

When I think about these last few years, all that I’ve learned, the friends I’ve made, the personal growth I’ve had, I can’t help but feel extremely happy. And you know what? All it took was having an interest, plus capturing all the enthusiasm + motivation I could find, and applying it.

It’s so fun to share bits + pieces of my story. As a “thank you” for helping me to have a story to share in the first place, save 15% on your order, now through Tuesday evening {June 26th} at 11:59pm CST with code FAVORITEITEMS — simply click here to shop.

xo + happy Monday!

    LOVE everything!!!!!

My favorite Gussy is my medium zip pouch (fabric combo pictured above). It hold so much. I use it for my chapstick and random items but when I need to run in somewhere, it also holds my phone and keys and debit card! LOVE! And…has held up wonderfully!!!! EXCELLENT QUALITY!!!!!!!

I love hearing bits and pieces of your story! I attended my FIRST blog conference this weekend (Haven!!) and it was SO much fun! I used a small Gussy zip pouch to carry my cards in and everyone commented on it! I was shocked at how many people HAVEN’T heard of Gussy Sews! (what – are the living under rocks!?!?) It made me sad at first but then I realized that people who haven’t heard of you are your potential for GROWTH. It was quite eye-opening!! So I filled in bazillions (okay – exaggeration) of people about Gussy Sews and your awesome, adorable, and unique products! Yippee!!

Thank you so much for sharing the inspiraation that is your story. As a fellow 20something with BIG dreams, it’s nice to be reminded that I *can* make my dreams a reality and that there are many other fabulous ladies around my age doing just that. Thanks again!!
