yeow, what a PRODUCTIVE bunch of days this year has already been! it’s hard to believe we’re already on day 10 of the new year, dontcha think?! so far 2012 has been a busy // surprising // productive year. i’m learning so much and finishing so many projects {one of my goals for 2012} ~ it’s a fabulous feeling. staying on track keeps me happy.

i thought it would be fun to quickly share a little list of some behind-the-scenes things with Gussy and a few personal Maggie updates —wink!

okay, here we go!

* i have spent HOURS cutting fabric… hours! and it’s so refreshing. i’ve used this quiet time to really focus on the business and further map out some ideas. i also spend this time giving Thanks. this business is such a treasure to me.

* the new products we’re working on — SO FUN + FRESH! just 2 more weeks and then i can show them off, hooray! mark january 23 on your calender.

* when i’m not cutting fabric i’m organizing the studio. my oh my, what a labor-intensive task this has become ;]

* Pandora does a particularly fabulous job at selecting music for us, hah! every few hours or so i really focus on what’s being played and i’m like WHAAAAAT, who picked this station? then i remember i did and i feel super silly, hehe!

* i took Bauer’s red “deer” shirt off and he looks like a totally new pup. SO CUTE! such a handsome dog he is.

* have you taken my supa’ short quiz yet? here’s the link in case you missed it yesterday ;]

* i’m starting to wonder if Minneapolis will get any snow…? and i am totally fine if that doesn’t happen this winter. not having to wear boots EVERY TIME i go outside, not having to warm up the car for 20 minute before we head to the store, not having to put boots on Bauer so we can go on our daily walks. yep, it’s nice!

* didja know we’re offering sponsored giveaway posts a couple times a month?

* cutest goals list ever, right? {below}

goals list via julie ann art

* our cousin has been staying with us for the past week {and we’re hoping she stays with us much longer}. it has been great to have someone so close {tee hehe} to bounce blog ideas off of each other, plus she laughs at the funny things i do ~ errrr, i mean Bauer does.

SHARE WITH US: How is the New Year treating you? What are some things you’re excited about? What are you working on today?
xo

I love new years! Everyone is just so motivated to make changes and get some work done.

My goals this year include opening my etsy shop, improving my blog, and saving up with HB for a down payment on a house. It’s an exciting time and I’m making progress every day!

Hope everyone else is having a fantastic new year!

PS My family got sewing lessons for me for Christmas. I’m headed to my first one this Wednesday and am oh-sew-excited :]

I’m loving this whole no snow, not freezing our butts off thing here in MN. It’s absolutely crazy– but at the same time it’s absolutely amazing. I hear there’s snow in the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday though. Not sure how much, but beware! You might have to break out Bauer’s boots!

Oh how I love your blog. :-) New goals: I got my studio room over the garage organized and all set up. I’m working up there all the time now and you were right – I’m LOVIN it! Working on updating the etsy site with fun new goodies soon. We usually get tons of snow here in Southern Oregon and we haven’t had any either. It’s so nice not having to shovel your way in and out of the house. And – I’m with ya – I put boots on my girls Winnie and Maggie for their winter walks too.

I love your blog. You are an inspiration.

I have 5 children…all boys so when my little Nina came into our house last year (she is a Yorkie) I could not help but buy her pink everything INCLUDING booties. Today she is wearing her new pink coat from Goodwill only $2.99 how could a girl pass that up?

I have been busy working on an Oilers tshirt quilt and a few sock monkeys that people have ordered! Love creating this stuff!

Thanks for being such an inspiration!!

hi shanna! oh your Nina sounds adorable ;) we had a little shirt that looked like Long Johns for bauer but zack didn’t think they were very cute, and now he’s too big for them (sad!). hah! the funny part is i think zack would be OK with bauer wearing them now that he see’s how cute bauer’s Deer shirt is ;D

      xoxo!

I have to agree about the no snow. I live near Lake Tahoe and havent seen snow since early November. I am thrilled, and it was the best Chrstmas gift ever. I hate watching my little pup disappear into the snow to go potty (because you know she won’t go along the shoveled path ~ silly dog). I know the snow and ice is coming, but winter is already feeling short this year. Can’t wait to see what you’re making. Have a great week!
