{Inspiration Workshop! — tips & secrets for the holidays}

I started the Inspiration Workshop! in June as a way for this community to share ideas and the pretty things we find online with one another. Since starting it I think we’ve all found a handful of amazing new blogs friends, too, which is awesome ;] If you’re new to the I.W. I encourage you to link up with us some time soon. I’ll be sending one final prompt tomorrow (Friday) and then we’ll take a break until after the New Year. Remember you’re super amazing — and thanks for sharing your inspiring posts with us each week. XO

With Christmas right around the corner I thought it would be helpful + fun to share our tips and secrets for preparing for the holidays // hosting for the holidays // ENJOYING the holidays! We always travel back home to Michigan and stay for a handful of days with each side of our family {5 days with one side, 5 days with the other}. Some times it’s easy to let little things bunch your undies, but it’s always sooo important to remember not only who we’re spending the holidays with but WHO we’re celebrating when we get together. And that family is to be cherished ♥

Here are my top 5 tips, enjoy ;]

TOP 5 TIPS TO ENJOYING THE HOLIDAYS:
step 1: before everyone arrives {or you start your travels} take a deep breath, hop in the shower & rub the DIY sugar scrub you just made on your body.

step 2: remember to enjoy the little things in life, like how nothing compares to surrounding yourself with those you love and being able to enjoy life’s pretties

step 3: decorate {& celebrate} how YOU want to decorate

step 4: make something yummy to eat ;] …and sneak off to the kitchen for a sample!

step 5: above all else, remember that “hospitality is about connection, not perfection” ~ The Reluctant Entertainer

    I’m so excited for Christmas, especially because it’s my husband & my first married Christmas! <3 I linked up a pretty necklace DIY I made for my sister-in-law; it's a great gift idea! ;)
