Filed Under: adventures, seasons, the pup, what I wore, Zack

Last Sunday the three of us packed up our stuff & headed to Lake Harriet for an afternoon picnic in the shade. That would be Zack, Bauer {our dog}, and me. Last time I blogged about Bauer and didn’t show a picture someone emailed me and asked me if he was our son. Which was awesome, hah! ;] But I had to reply and tell her no…

We found a shady spot near the water and sailboats. Every time I drive by this spot my thoughts get all dreamy-like and I think about relaxing on a sailboat. Wouldn’t that be amazing?! Maybe Zack will buy us one?

Bauer loved watching the boats blow to the left in the wind, blow to the right. Plus there were about 826 different dogs that walked by us and he quietly whined ~ he thinks every dog is his friend which is perfect and actually true :] Dogs are so cute and fun to play with and a good companion, and Bauer knows that. After we ate our picnic lunch, I read a book and Zack took a nap. Bauer watched the sailboats, again.

Then Zack got out the camera and I had to show him my grumpy face, hahaha! {MY HAIR IS GETTING SO LONG!}

And here’s my sassy face {below, right}. I think becoming a brunette Friday evening gave me an extra dose of sass. Yeow!

Ahhhh. Laying on a quilt with my man & pup in the park near dozens of sailboats on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon = awesome!

Zack wore: red Spiderman t-shirt; red/blue plaid shorts, The Gap; hat from PacSun
Maggie wore: purple striped tank + purple floral shorts, Target

I’ve got a whole lot of love in my ♥ for this man!

    Bauer IS your son :)
    I used to think sailing was relaxing too, until I lived in SF and had a friend with a sail boat. It is work to sail, it was the most un-relaxing, non-relaxing, thing I can think of now. Uuugh, I hope I never have to sail again.
    You are a beautiful brunette!

      hehe — unless you have someone else running the boat and you’re laying on a mesh blanket looking down at the ocean (lake) water ;D

    Gus, you look great as a brunette! I was a brunette for about 3 years too, before I went back to my blonde. Change is fun, isn’t it? ;) And what a fun picnic!!

    That looks amazing:) Glad you had some relaxing time! Reading on a blanket = bliss! Blossom is exactly the same as Bauer; ALL dogs are her friends, or so she thinks. She makes this clucking noise when she gets excited, so I have a bulldog who sounds like a chicken. I don’t think my children will be accepted into polite society :)
