{Inspiration Workshop! — week #5, bathrooms}

Welcome to week #5 of the Inspiration Workshop!. Each Thursday we meet right here to share our imagination of the week’s prompt. I started this workshop just a few weeks ago as another way for this community to interact. It’s been so fun to click through and see what you all write about! I’m looooving it!

The prompt ~

This week’s Inspiration Workshop! prompt is BATHROOM. I always think of relaxation when I think of that word. Maybe you think of dirty towels on the floor, or your soaker tub? Maybe you think of something else? Whatever BATHROOM reminds you of, share it with us in your blog post :]

My inspiration ~

OK — so my inspiration came from one of my favorite bloggers, Kelle Hampton. The very first blog post of Kelle’s I read was on her bathroom makeover. Oh yes, and I am that girl that remembered it. Wouldja just take a look already? Hah.

A before shot:

And the makeover:

All photos courtesy of Kelle Hampton.

I think part of why I love her bathroom is because it’s a true reflection of Kelle’s “I [will] LOVE LIFE!” mentality. It’s also partly why I read her blog, too. But back to her bathroom — the bright, bold colors. The big tub. The natural light. It’s perfectly crazy. Just this last week I’ve been forcing myself to live a more relaxed life. Don’t work so much. Make time for yourself. Leave the house, even if it means you leave 28 times and in the most unproductive way… just leave. Make sure you have quiet time, outside, alone. To me, the energy in the bathroom is an indication of how my day will go. I would like it clean with plush towels. I like pretty-smelling body wash, fresh-smelling shampoo. Lite-lotion; a fog-free mirror. wink!

Comfort is what I’m looking for in my bathroom. In case you didn’t — which most of you probably don’t know — I am not a morning person. So if I can have a pretty, energetic, pampered bathroom… I’ll have a better chance at having a happy morning ;]

Now it’s your turn!

I hope you’ll join the linky party below with your interpretation of BATHROOM. Please visit the 2 thumbnails listed above yours and say hello by leaving a comment. You never know what kind of inspiration you’ll stumble upon for a future project ;]

    I think there is a similar theme going on with the bath tubs. I love the connection!

    Wow, Kelle’s bathroom is so pretty! And such fun, too.

    I didn’t get a chance to link up last week, but here I am this week! Since I’m getting married in October {100 days- yay!!}, I’ve been thinking a lot about our home… :D

    LOVE the idea to hang a frame onto the mirror…GENIUS!! I’m working hard at working less, too. If that makes sense.. http://tinyurl.com/3qxtgym This post explains it a little… Thanks for this idea, Gussy. I mean, the inspiration workshop idea. As well as lots others!!

    Such fun lively colors in this one! My favorite part is the little string of birdies. You just can’t go wrong with little birdies, much less ones that are on a string. :)
