I’m not sure if anyone else felt this way, but the weekend went by WAY too fast. Like so fast that someone asked me what I did and I couldn’t even remember. I was like, Whaaa? what weekend?! When I think real long and hard I remember my weekend to be a giant mix of work & play. I’ve been very intentional lately with finishing up my prior commitments and then trying to not schedule too much work into my day-to-day. You know the feeling, right? When you are always crossing things off your to-do WORK list but never crossing things off the CREATIVE list you have building inside your head? The fun, more daydream-like list? So over the weekend I finished my big to-do list {hooray!}, and now I’m super happy to start the week off with my fun & creative list. In fact, I already filled up today’s column in this week’s planner with all sorts of fun things. I’m seriously excited :]

Some of these things include Bauer, some of these things include sharing my weekend trip to City Salvage. There are a couple of things written down that have been saved as blog post drafts for weeks, months even. I even plan on putting my red toes up and doodling ideas…

What does your Monday look like?
xoxo

PS. there’s still time to send over your favorite pic of you & your Gussy item. I would love to see it/feature you {hint, hint}. email me at gussyATgussysewsDOTcom.

I went to bed early last night (that’s a first in a long time) and Miss Izz (my five month old) slept through the night. WOOT! Ha! So I woke up early and have had quite a productive morning so far.

Monday’s looking like an appointment or two, walking with the five month old around the track (I think my two year old just wiped something unmentionable on my arm…ok I’m back), and some couponing at Rite Aid and CVS…then maybe some sewing tonight! Poifect day!

    Have a good one, Gussy!

I know the feeling! I have a ton of to-do things on my list and even more wanna-do things on my other list. Today I am slipping in a “fun” project along with my “customers are waiting” project and I am hoping to be finished with both by the end of the day. Happy Sewing! (or Seauxing!)

Today… sadly: mowing the yard for the first half the day (large yard) but then on to fun things like baking and sewing!

Hanging out with my baby boy and hopefully my hubs gets home early from work today since he worked 8 hours of overtime yesterday which means he worked 16 hours. And laundry and some cleaning really needs to be done.

P.S. would you like me to send you a picture of my other gussy item with me too? Or is the one enough? ;-)

Have to add that I felt like the entire last week went by fast.

just read your feature post over at casey’s blog. you have been a huge inspiration to me in getting started in my business. i have loved reading your blog over the last few months and i love hearing your story and how the Lord brought you to where you are today. so inspiring. i know that at the end of the day, it’s about trusting His plan…not mine. thanks for inspiring me with your sweet heart :)

hi chelsea :] thanks for taking a minute to leave a comment. it really means so much!!!! and yes, trusting in the LORD’s plan… not always easy but definitely always the right choice, if not realized now then for sure it’s realized down the road.

wishing you a happy day. xoxo

Every day is different for me…some go by really quickly and others seem to drag on…I haven’t found the perfect formula yet.

One thing that helps me though is my “MIT’s” Tsh Oxenreider who is going to be at Relevant this year (woot! can’t wait to see you there again) talks about her MIT’s (most important tasks) in her book and it really helps me to have my top 3 things to accomplish every day. As the owner of such a busy shop I’m sure you may have more than three, but for me three works. If those three tasks get accomplished, then I can feel like I really got something done. (Am I making sense?) Anyways, if I can start one of those three MIT’s (mine normally include laundry) right after I get up, it kind of slows down the day because I’m not rushing around like a chicken with my head cut off.

    Whew.
    Sorry for the book.
Can’t wait for your interview with Liv Lane :-)
    Have an awesome night!

My Monday is always a catch-up day from the weekend. Since I started staying home with my son and working on my etsy shop, I have a hard time separating my weekdays from my weekends. But since the hubs is home, I try not to do weekday ‘work’ (laundry, blogging, working on my etsy shop) on the weekends, even if we’re just hanging out at home. So Mondays are usually full of catch up cleaning, blogging and grocery shopping. Mondays are actually one of my favorite days now that I’m home full time–it’s a nice day to catch up. BTW, I just started reading your blog and it’s so inspiring–thanks so much for being so willing to share your experiences with starting your own business and following your dream!
