Time for more fashion inspiration thanks to Lindsey! Be sure and click through the blogs that link to her WIWW post each week ~ they are so fun and great for meeting new bloggy friends :]

This outfit is one of my favorites. I heart the purple top and the braid detailing at the neckline. Top is from TJ Maxx, skinny jeans are from Target. Headband is mine, market tote is mine.

Headbands seem to be my favorite accessory. What is your fav. accessory?

Here I am being silly. Seriously ~ looking into my studio brings a huge smile onto my face. Didja know that? [Now you know, *wink*.] Purple/blue ruffle top & skinny jeans are from Target ♥. Green slipper socks were a gift from my mama. Also, the center photo? That’s me pointing to my calender, which is the ONLY way I get so much done each day. It’s from Much Ado About You. Emmy is a dear friend of mine, and she and her hubby recently adopted a baby. Be sure and come back, her fun shop is closed through April.

Ruffles on my shirt? So fun! And the tattoo on my wrist ~ more on that soon.

OK, today’s question: Do you have a tattoo? If not, do you dream of one? [Be honest…]

Yes! I have a tattoo that has slowly grown over the past 12 yrs…it started with a cross on my foot which was modified several times, grew to include several tiny sparrows and the lyrics to my grandpa’s favorite hymn and now has beautiful pink, blue and minty green swirls to connect them all. I’ve said that eventually i’ll have a “full sock” lol!

I do not have a tattoo, but my wonderful husband has one and it is what attracted me to him initially. He worked as a houseboy in my sorority house and during his first few weeks there I noticed something on the inside of his wrist. He has “Gal. 2:20” tattooed on his wrist and it was a great talking point that got both of us talking about Jesus. We have been married now for almost 2 years and he graduates from Seminary this weekend.

My other tattoo is of a cat figuring that was my great grandma’s, I have flowers “falling” around the cat that start by my shoulder and it end at the bottom of my back. Reminds me of all those in our family that have passed on, brings a smile to my face when I catch a glimps of it in the mirror. Happy Wednesday to you all! =)

I love your outfits–and that they are from Target. I love, love, LOVE Target’s clothing and shoes. Oh, and I have a tattoo…it’s a celtic four leaf clover on my right hip. My grandfather had this amazing knack for finding four-leaf clovers and he’d press them and give them to us “for luck.” (I keep mine in my wallet) When he passed away, my father found an envelope stuffed with four-leaf clovers inside—one for every year he lived after his open heart surgery. So, in his memory my brother and I both got four-leaf clover tattoos. Mine is on my hip and my brother got 4 of them as a cover-up. I like that it always reminds me of my grandfather!

I really enjoy seeing how you accessorize with your headbands. The colors in them and how you pull a shade out of that to wear it with and it always looks amazing! I actually just bought a top on ebay (for a dollar! how could I pass that up?) so that I’d have more to wear with my Gussy headband. ^_^
I’m already permanently marked by a birthmark so I don’t know how I feel about adding to those permanent markings but… I did at one time consider a tattoo of a heart with the word “redeemed” in the center.

I have two tattoos right close together on the inside of my right ankle close to my heel. I wanted one in highschool and told myself I’d wait ten years. One reason was because I didn’t have the perfect thing that was really meaningful and the other reason was because I knew it was permanent and if I could wait 10 years, I’d probably be ok with it for life. I ended us waiting five years, which is still impressive for me. I got the Japanese symbol for “King’s Daughter” and then, a year later after my Grandma passes, I got a hummingbird copied from an original watercolor. My Grandma always had hummingbird feeders around her house. :) I really want another, maybe something in Hebrew, but hubby isn’t so fond of the idea of me getting another.

I have one very tiny tattoo of a daisy on my big toe. Got it when I was 18 and settled on this discreet little thing after my mother said “just don’t get one on your boobs or butt.” In reality, I am far too conservative and modest to do anything like that, but this little daisy is just perfect for me.

Yep I have what some would call a tramp stamp- I call it my Nola stamp! I got my fleur de lis tatoo on my lower back when I was 26 on my one year anniversary trip to las Vegas with my hubby. It was a year after Katrina hit NOLA and I figured if all the people in the new Orleans could endure the pain and suffering during the storm and after I could endure a little tatoo and it’s my tribute to my city. I love it!

Yes I have five tattoos, that you would know it lol. I have one on each foot a flower & stars, I have on my hip a music note with a staff wrapped around it and my name in it that my hubby drew for me, I have a butterfly design on my shoulder blade that my hubby drew for me, & then I have near my wrist a treble clef with a heart & lady bug at the end of it that my hubby drew for me too. If you can’t tell I’m obsessed with music & my hubby has drawn 3 out of 5 of my tattoos :)

I have six tattoos – love them all. The next one I want to get will have something to do with the song “You are my sunshine” (maybe even those exact words) since I sing it to my girls every night, and Leila calls it “the mama song”

I am dying to know about the tattoo on your wrist, and if I had that headband it would be my favorite accessory for SURE! Love it!

Love your plaid ruffle-y shirt! You are adorable, as always. :)

Tattoos? Not a fanfor myself. I’m too chicken to get one…but the sweetheart wants to get my name tattooed on his ring finger after we get married {like, he REALLY wants to}. We’re still debating about that one. I’m mostly afraid that my name will accidently be spelled wrong! ;)

I have one tattoo, based on one of my favorite bible passages. (Isaiah 62:3-5) It’s two hands cradling a crown on the small of my back-it reminds me of what my end goal really is beyond all the noise of this world.

Unrelated, I almost bought that same ruffled plaid top at Target!

I’m feeling like a tired lady. But sunshine & fresh air are good companions to keep around.

We came home and I made “the best dinner ever”. Max specifically announced, “it’s so great you’re launching new meals to the world”. LOL— kids! 🤣👏🏻💓
How about a little Wednesday night introduction? 😘Social media sure has changed over the years and we don’t always SEE who we’re following or remember WHY we’re following certain accounts.

So, hello! As you can gather, my name is Maggie ;)

I started writing online (almost 13 years ago) to share the handmade products I was sewing. My shop was called Gussy Sews. ✂️👛I love the community that has grown from sewing & sharing online.

Let’s FFW to today: Zack and I live in Michigan and have four young children (2 boys & 2 girls). I slowly left the handmade industry and walked right into homemaking, homeschooling, and encouraging women through writing. 💕📝

Motherhood has been very hard on me. (And not just because of how close in age our four children are.) It’s been hard for me because I fought for years to accept that *it’s supposed to be hard*.

I mean, how do you effectively teach another person to know and love the Lord? Bc that’s how I think of motherhood: a calling to nurture others by studying the One who nurtures me. So I gotta make the first move: study the Bible and seek Him first. As my friend Autumn reminded me, vulnerability births transformation.

(I’ve had to be really vulnerable!)

So, yes motherhood has fully transformed me. But even more so, Christ has fully transformed me. My list of “all that He’s done for me” is off to a beautifully long start.

Something else I want you to know about me: I stalled for years before acknowledging I have anxiety and depression. It’s hard to talk about this because of course this isn’t forever “my hardship”, but rather because acknowledging this means to heal I have to work through some really difficult things. ✨

But my friend Jesus walks alongside me. He’s already done a mighty work in my heart, including helping me process my anger in healthier ways. I’ve also adopted a heart for sisterhood, mothering, and Titus 2 mentorship.

Sometimes our greatest losses are our greatest gains? That’s what I’m clinging to!

How about you? Tell me something about yourself so I can get to know you on a deeper heart level. 🖤🖤

But today! Today we reset the rhythm, and we have had a much happier home & time learning together. 👏🏻
