mmm, today’s post is guest blogger Kasey from Lola B’s | one girl talks and mmmMMMMM she has a tasty recipe to share with us :] Be sure and visit her blog ~ I love her fashion/decor style, humor and pretty pretty home. And if you make her cupcakes, well… you’ll LURVE them. ♥ Thanks Kasey for sharing your special lemonade cupcake recipe! xoxo

Okay….so as i was sitting around the house in my yoga pants….catching up on my soaps….

not knowing quite where the kids were…..i had a daydream that lemonade cupcakes were

calling my name .

Hello…my name is Kasey…and i love to lick frosting off of cupcakes.

So…i did what any good stay at home mother of three kids would do when she’s out of wine in the middle of the day….i decided to bake some lemonade cupcakes.

I like pretty things…so i thought i would show you how to make a pretty cupcake.

{i promise…it’s so easy…and you can thank me later}

I buy store bought white cake mix….a jug of lemonade….white frosting from Trader Joe’s…

and just a store bought icing kit {which is around $7}.

If you don’t have a Trader Joe’s…then just buy the already mixed white frosting that comes in a container…

or if you know how to make your own frosting…then go ahead….it will all be the same at the end

Make your store bought cupcakes exactly how you would according to the package….

except instead of adding the water…you substitute the lemonade.

{see…i promised it was easy}

For the frosting…..same thing…you substitute the lemonade for the water….but i always

add a tablespoon {or three} of lemon curd.

{you can find lemon curd at any grocery store with the jams and jelly’s}

Stuff that frosting into the bag according the the directions….and pipe that frosting out onto

your lemonade cupcakes……making sure you squeeze a little bit into your mouth as you go.

{i do that to make sure it’s not poisoned}

This is where you can easily make your cupcakes very pretty….

that is if you have any cupcakes left for friends or your kids.

I buy edible flowers at the market…..{whole foods…trader joe’s…farmers market}

and assemble a few of them on top of the cupcakes.

Anyhoo….there you go…some pretty lemonade cupcakes for you to eat…..I dare you.

{I find the little mushroom toppers from this etsy shop: HERE }

    {i do that to make sure it’s not poisoned}”. :) I’ll try these this weekend!
