This giveaway is now closed.

Today’s Saturday shopping post is inspired by *your perfect trip* ♥

Let’s pretend you’re going on a trip. The most perfect trip where the weather is exactly what you want it to be, you’re doing your favorite fun thing, eating at the tastiest restaurant {or cooking with your favorite ingredients}. You’re with your favorite person {maybe you’re with a big group??} and you’re gone for the perfect number of days {3? 7? 14?!}.

Certainly you need a bag to carry some things. How about a Gussy bag ~ Pink Starburst tote bag:

Inside you can carry your laptop, a towel, books & magazines, some snacks, a change of clothes, a few smaller bags {are you out shopping?}. Our tote bags are super lightweight, easy to fold & carry inside another bag. And who doesn’t love a burst of color via a GUSSY RUFFLE?

So you like to read… I saw inside your tote bag you had a big stack of books & mags. Is a nook, kindle or maybe an iPad on your “wants” list? If so, be sure to ask for one of our eReader cases…

One afternoon you head out for a late lunch. You grab your wristlet/clutch and slip on a ruffled headband ~ both in Spring Blue:

What else do you bring? How about a small zipped pouch for your point&shoot camera, a medium zipped pouch to hold your jewelry, and a make-up bag to organize small travel items ~

Sign your name below, sharing what the perfect trip looks like, and enter to win $30 Gussy shop credit. Hurry though, this giveaway ends Sunday night. xoxo

Any trip, anywhere. I haven’t been anywhere in so long.

But I absolutely love staying in hotels, and I’m really looking forward to warmer weather, so anywhere warm and sunny, as Michigan is dreary today, with an abundance of rain. I’d take my husband and my nephew – maybe my two sister-in-laws if they beg ;D

And go to florida or cali or arizona.

Well, since I’m coming off a whirlwind trip that was grueling, my ideal trip would include at least 7-10 days, the fam ~ whether my sweetie and kids only or extended fam ~ we’d mix eating out with cooking in. If it was cold outside, we’d need a fire inside. It it was hot, great air conditioning or fresh breezes coming in through open windows. And, lots of time for gelling. Being together is just refreshing. Blessings!

Right now a perfect trip for me would be something close to home for about 4 days anywhere the weather is sunny, crisp and cool. I’d spend it with my honey and we’d enjoy good food, a little shopping in cute local shops and some outdoor activities for fresh air. My favorite place to be is wherever he is. :o)

The perfect trip for me (coming in june!) looks like: a fun road trip with my boyfriend and his mom to Manchester tennesse (we live in nh), for the Bonnaroo music festival, Warm weather, and amazing music, and two people who i love most! A place to get away from the worries and troubles of home, a place to relax and just be who I am, let the music sink into my skin, and soul, and just be happy. But of course it would be better with a gussy tote to put my belongings in for the road, and a clutch to carry my necessities while in the gates of the show. :)

We had such a great time just hanging out with grown ups & staying up late & sleeping in! It was just what our souls needed!

Sidenote: I had my Gussy tweet in color pouch (for makeup) & the blue bell? wristlet in my purse on my trip! When we went shopping I just took my wristlet instead of carrying my big purse!

The second perfect trip is to Disneyland with my hubby and my sweet girls, where Leila can’t stop smiling, and Gianna is clapping and laughing the whole time. Tony would constantly have one of the girls on his shoulders, and I would have my camera out the entire time!

Of course I’d be carrying a gorgeous Gussy tote in either scenario! XO!

My perfect trip right now would be a weekend getaway with my husband.. maybe to Gatlinburg or Little Nashville. We would stay in a little b&b and shop downtown and eat a lot of good home cooked meals at the local restaurants. Spend the evenings sitting on the porch and playing board games. I need one of those trips.

How did I not know you made a wristlet? So cute! Anyway, my perfect vacation? Summer time in Seaside, FL is sounding pretty good right now. I have great memories of laying in the sun on the beach, swimming in the warm water, shopping at cute stores, and pigging out on seafood down the road at Dewey Destin. Sigh. It’s cold & rainy here in Seattle, but it’s summertime in my mind…

Ooh, I love dreaming up the perfect vacation. I think mine would be just being able to go somewhere with my husband, and have a week of fun. We got married in the middle of the schoolyear, and didn’t get to have a honeymoon until 4 months later; It was a weekend at the beach in January. Brr! Maybe something overseas, with lots of museums, coffeeshops, and shopping. :3

My perfect trip would depend on my mood. Right now I would go away for at least two weeks and go to a warm beach somewhere tropical and eat yummy tropical food and relax and read. Debating on whether my daughter would be there with us. Probably because I would miss her otherwise but it would definitely be with my husband. Just relax! But then again, I would love to go somewhere with lots of history and be a tourist.

My perfect trip would be with my sweet husband, my BFF and her husband, and we would be in Europe. There are so many cool place I want to go there, but Paris is my favorite. I’d need to tote a Gussy to carry my journal, camera, and my multi-lingual dictionary. The main attraction for me is food and exploring neighborhoods where locals like to hang out. Oh my. I gotta start saving!

I’m feeling like a tired lady. But sunshine & fresh air are good companions to keep around.

How about a little Wednesday night introduction? 😘Social media sure has changed over the years and we don’t always SEE who we’re following or remember WHY we’re following certain accounts.

So, hello! As you can gather, my name is Maggie ;)

I started writing online (almost 13 years ago) to share the handmade products I was sewing. My shop was called Gussy Sews. ✂️👛I love the community that has grown from sewing & sharing online.

Let’s FFW to today: Zack and I live in Michigan and have four young children (2 boys & 2 girls). I slowly left the handmade industry and walked right into homemaking, homeschooling, and encouraging women through writing. 💕📝

Motherhood has been very hard on me. (And not just because of how close in age our four children are.) It’s been hard for me because I fought for years to accept that *it’s supposed to be hard*.

I mean, how do you effectively teach another person to know and love the Lord? Bc that’s how I think of motherhood: a calling to nurture others by studying the One who nurtures me. So I gotta make the first move: study the Bible and seek Him first. As my friend Autumn reminded me, vulnerability births transformation.

(I’ve had to be really vulnerable!)

So, yes motherhood has fully transformed me. But even more so, Christ has fully transformed me. My list of “all that He’s done for me” is off to a beautifully long start.

Something else I want you to know about me: I stalled for years before acknowledging I have anxiety and depression. It’s hard to talk about this because of course this isn’t forever “my hardship”, but rather because acknowledging this means to heal I have to work through some really difficult things. ✨

But my friend Jesus walks alongside me. He’s already done a mighty work in my heart, including helping me process my anger in healthier ways. I’ve also adopted a heart for sisterhood, mothering, and Titus 2 mentorship.

Sometimes our greatest losses are our greatest gains? That’s what I’m clinging to!

How about you? Tell me something about yourself so I can get to know you on a deeper heart level. 🖤🖤
