Yesterday I had the privileged of guest posting over at Paper*Cakes Finds. I really like to guest post — it’s a great way to challenge myself and a great way to meet new blog friends. Below is a preview of my post — to read the rest, click here ♥

Hi there, this is Gussy of Gussy Sews. During the day I sew ruffles, blog, play with our puppy {shhhh}, and network with my handmade pals. At night I love to watch TV, sip on a Diet Coke, and relax with my hubby :) Life has gotten super crazy in the last year, so anything that lets me quiet my mind before bedtime is wonderful.

I love my job so incredibly much, and because of that it’s really easy for me to just work, work, work. A normal work day is about 11 hours long, but lately it’s been longer! Eeeek. Since I work from home as an indie biz owner, I want to share a bit about my day // a few tips on how I stay organized + on-task.

Thanks for the great tips! I just started 2 etsy shops (handmade & vintage) and am attempting to run to blogs, facebook pages, twitter, etc. Oh, and I’m a mommy too. I work twice as many hours as when I was teaching but I am so much happier and less stressed! I am still figuring out the time managment thing. I need a notebook like you :)

I use BBW aromatherapy lotion before bedtime, too. I’ve contemplated getting the wallflower for my bedroom, as well.

Yes! It can be such a challenge when you’re your own boss, you work at home and you love it. I constantly struggle with my schedule, staying focused and not getting carried away with work.

I do appreciate this post! I think the folder idea is great. I’ve considered hiring someone so many times. I just need to take the plunge.
