Oh my sweet heavens.

We’ve had Bauer for 3 months now. Can you please just take a minute to LOOK at how little he was when we first brought him home? Little and not-as-naughty-as-he-is-now, I meant to write.

Ohhh, just kidding :] He’s actually a very good pup. About 7 times a day, on average, I tell Zack how glad I am to have Bauer. Some times I think he’s really a little boy inside a doggy costume — Bauer is smart. Once I was crying and he ran over to me and placed a paw on me. He said a million words with that little gesture. See? It’s easy for me to love him :]

I love his crazy, curly hair —

I love his dark black nose —

And the little signs of “him” he leaves around our house ~

♥ We give dogs love we can spare, time we can spare and room we can spare. In return, dogs give us their all. It’s the best deal man has ever made,” ~ Mary Focklam

I feel the same way about my pup, Indy. I always had cats growing up, but she’s turned me into a dog person! They have such wonderful personalities.

Beautiful. Bauer is pretty lucky too, to have a Mama like you to love and pamper him during the day. You both win!

How incredibly sweet is he?! I feel the same way about my pup (Bean, a 3 year old Boston Terrier). Isn’t it crazy how we lived life before pups? Love your quote, too.

My heart was filled with happiness when I read your post this morning. I’m so glad others feel the same way about their dogs (and pets in general). Our Sadie is a goldendoodle and I feel that having her is probably one of the best decisions I’ve recently made. And I often tell people she’s the light of our lives, even as crazy and she can be! Thank you for sharing this and brightening my day!

I totally relate!! My hubby and I have a 5yr old English Bulldog (and no kids, so you can only imagine the epic spoiling going on at our house:)…..and that smooshy face is the light of my life! I almost cant remember a time when we didnt have him…..and cant fathom a time when we wont.

I LOVE doggies! Bauer is especially adorable!!! I can’t have a dog in the house my fiance and I rent (no dogs allowed) Makes me sad that the HUGE backyard just goes to waste. It needs a dog to decorate it a little! Oh well… we need to find another house so Nicky can have doggies!

oh i know exactly how you feel. whenever i am down or sad polo taps into that and knows how i feel. he snuggles up to me or comes and sits in my lap. Literally crawls on top of me into my lap. Or licks my face. He is so darn sweet. My grandma gave me a magnet for Christmas that says “a dog wags his tail with his heart” and it was my favorite gift. so small but so true. :)gina

he is so, so cute. that is precious that he comforted you when he was crying. that reminds me of when i found out what happened to my cousin brad, maggs jumped up on the couch beside me and rested his head on my lap. so sweet.

I had to comment when I saw the pic of your pup. He looked so cute there, his little face and those eyes peeking over the pillow or bedding he was laying on. He looks like a a Wolfhound pup and I immediately am drawn to that as they are my favorite dogs, I used to have one, and I am in between wolfhounds now. We have others to feel the empty space but my heart remembers. Enjoy your fur baby they are great companions if we give them a chance to be.
