Oh Bauer, never did I think I would love a doggy as much as I love you. We’ve had you in our family for 2.5 months and LOOK at how much you’ve grown?!

You’re not like I thought you would be… you’re so much more and exactly what we wanted {only we didn’t know what we really wanted when we adopted you.} Zack and I think we wanted “a dog” but really we ended up with a little pal. You went to Michigan with us for Christmas and you grew up so much. You are so much more calm {I think it’s because you got so much quality time with both of us}. We are training you to not need a leash when we go outside and it’s been so fun to watch you listen to us ;] Or not listen to us, depending on the situation.

One of my favorite things is to ride in the car with you on my lap {when Zack drives — I would never drive with you on my lap} because I can see you look and think and watch what you are seeing. Did you know Zack has most of your baby teeth saved? Yeah. But I would never judge him for that. Because I talk to you during the day like you’re a little boy. Haha! {And the LORD knows *I* don’t want to be judged…}

So, Bauer — thanks for letting me smooch your ears all day long. You’re the best and I knew we were meant to be pals :]

    So, so sweet. I can relate so much. We welcomed our home and hearts to our pup 8 months ago. It’s pretty incredible; I feel like he’s always been part of our family. Bauer sounds like such a wonderful addition + I am sohappy for you! Keep enjoying. xo

    i know exactly how you feel about little bauer man! :) We are “those puppy parents” and we couldn’t be happier. I know exactly how you feel and Polo’s personality makes him feel almost human-just with four paws instead of 2 feet and 2 hands. :) xoxo

    Such a cute puppy! Dogs really have a way of getting into your heart, don’t they? :]

    PS- LOVE that green cowl that you’re wearing in some of the pictures! Where did it come from?

    I second the motion on the Bauer Blog – a Twitter account would work as well. Happy New Year, LiL B.

    Bauer is so cute! Is he named after Jack from 24 or the hockey company or something else?
    I totally agree with the statement “never would I think I would love a doggy as much as I love you.” We got our pup in September and I really can’t believe how much we love him (his name is Milton).
    Seriously, I love having a dog :)
