{Christmas decorations + a thankful list}

Yesterday afternoon Zack and I decorated for Christmas — it was so fun to see the tubs of decorations and add in some reason for the season decor. I’m loving all the red, green & silver paired with all the gorgeous wood details inside the house. The house looks so cozy now! I’m loving it :] Yay! Now, if only our fire place really worked… *wink* I’m excited to share some quick detail pics with you (prettier pics to come soon!)…

Top left to bottom right: Little Bauer, totally loving the tree (and all our fun ornaments) that he can hardly sit up ;] // birdies sitting with some ornaments hung on their cage // amazing candle holders from Ikea. I love the height and fun-ness of the ornament atop one of the holders (instead of a candle) // layering texture and seasonalvdetails on our mantle.

Top left to bottom right: pretty ornament from Target {bought last year} // new Ikea decorations, loving the red and how they can be used throughout the year // itty-bitty Christmas tree, bought last year as a “our first Christmas in MN” gift // my collection of Christmas tins, thanks Mom!

Each year Zack and I have even more things to be thankful for, and this year I’m happy to have on our list ~

* our puppy, Bauer {we adopted him 6 weeks ago [!!!]}
* Being my own boss :] * My assistant, Jessie
* A happy marriage & friendship
* Our wonderful family ♥
* Moving to an amazing house that’s allowed the biz to grow even more
* Health {I’ve lost about a handful of pounds since having a pup to walk each morning}
* A running car
* A brain that can handle all the things on my to-do list {most of the time *wink*}

What are you thankful for this year?

    when our puppy had her first Christmas – we hung a bell on the lower branches so if she got too close the bell would warn us!

    love the christmas decor! we just decorated last night, and it is crazy how much cozier a space can feel with a tree, some lights, and random pops of color everywhere. this year has brought so many changes to our family. although joe is currently unemployed (and we are still trying to get me home full time), we still have so much to be thankful for: our friendship and marriage, our josiah and new baby on the way, our relationship and faith in jesus, our family’s health, our finances, our friends and family who have blessed us over and above what we could have ever imagined. i’ve never been more excited for this holiday season!

    I’m thankful for the good health of my husband, children, and grandchildren; I’m thankful for my “Bad Girls”; I’m thankful for God, who loves me unconditionally.

    I am so thankful for a beautiful, healthy family! My twins were born 12 weeks early (they weighed 2.5 pounds each) Today they are healthy, vibrant, bright 3 year olds!

    Thanks for the idea of putting the ornaments in a glass lidded container or vase. I have some old ornaments of my Grandma’s, but had always been too nervous to put them on our tree (small children- need I say more…). So, thanks to your creativity, I was able to display this special reminder of my Grandma!
