{Gussy goes on a wine tour.}

A few weekends ago Zack and I hopped in the car and drove to a Wisconsin winery. Leading up to our summer vacation, and of course ever since we got back, we’ve been so eager to get out of the concrete city of Minneapolis. Thankfully we’re moving soon, but still unsure WHERE so don’t ask (♥), and we’ll be seeing more green grass then.

{Seriously, stay on topic Gus!}

Wine tour. We went on one.
It was amazing and the entire drive out there I wished Zack was driving me in a convertible. The wind in my hair, and the fresh air. It was lovely.

Then we pulled up to this and I died and went to wine heaven:

I’ll let the photos do the talking here…

Sorry Mr. Tour Guide, I caught you in my photo!

With our wine tour came 5 tokens for wine tasting {5 tokens per person…}, a cheese & cracker platter {sorry, I ate that before taking any photos}, and a complimentary bottle of vino.

OHHH my sweet sewing machine, it was well worth being away from you for the day…

I never would have guessed that at 25-years-old I’d be this in love with trees and dirt and green grass. But I am. Hah! :]

We passed so many little lakes and ponds on our way to Wisconsin. I thought it would be fun to take a photo of each one, but then I remembered that most of you have probably seen enough green grass this summer and didn’t want to bore you.

But I had to share this pic {I love the yellow & green, and the trees in the side mirror}:

Hello :]

And hello from my handsome driver, Zack:

    You would LOVE Napa Valley – hubs & I honeymoon’d there {gasp} 4 years ago and couldn’t get over how wonderful it smelled :) Considering planning a day trip in the fall to go pick apples & pumpkins, drink hot apple cider & take pictures of colorful leaves…happiness!

    My family went to Ohio to attend my cousin’s wedding. It was a long trip, but worth it!

    Hey Gussy, that looks beautiful! I hope you find the home of your dreams, with the price of your dreams asap!!!! :) Hubby and I are taking a 4 day weekend over memorial day and I am still trying to decide what to do. A wine tour sounds great to me. Washington state has a ton of yummy wineries and cool places to visit for a little “staycation”! I am sure I will blog about it after the weekend!

      we recently decided that we don’t have to spend much money or really go too far to have a great time. you guys could stay nearby, but go somewhere you’ve never been before. once you’ve done everything local you have a GREAT reason to take a bigger trip ;]

    Wow! That place looks incredible! Sounds like you had an amazing time.

    My last day trip was a couple of months ago when my husband and I visited a few wineries in Cincinnati. It was nothing as fancy as the place you went, but still fun.

    Oh, just for the record, I always enjoy pictures of grass and trees even though I live in the country. :)

    I went to Napa Valley a few years ago. I loved it and I wasn’t even 21 yet! Now I really want to go back.

    That winery has a FANTASTIC festival the weekend of the 18th in September. My dad lives “up there” and we normally go each year for birthday celebrations as a family. The wines they have are outstanding, and they have some fun activities including Polo tournaments and craft vendors. Seriously a good time.

    We haven’t been many places this summer, taking care of things at home seems to be our adventure so far!

    Looks like it was a great adventure. I’ve always wanted to do a wine tour/tasting thing.
    We are headed to Rodanthe NC in a couple weeks for a much needed family va-k.
    Rented a beach house, so looking forward to it.
