**********

I met Lisa back when I was in college at CMU because our boyfriends were roommates. We’ve since married those boyfriends, but a lot has changed in our lives. For example, we’ve moved to different cities, opened Etsy shops, and continue to find unique things.

Yeah, that’s right. Lisa has an Etsy shop. She also has a blog. She’s also super cute and fun :)

So, with all that said, let me please introduce to you…

What inspires you?

Anything outside of my cubicle :) I love any kind of design that I see just about anywhere I go. Just walking down the street I can see different lines and colors configured beautifully and my heart starts racing. Also, animals, cute fuzzy things.

Where do you call home? Are you from there originally?

Michigan is my home, and a big part of my heart will always be there. I live in Portland now though, and its probably one of the best cities in the Nation. I mean wear else can you find mountains, oceans, and bacon on your doughnut?

Share an interesting fact about yourself.

I don’t drink coffee. In fact, I hate it, and I don’t let Nate kiss me with coffee breath. The idea makes me shiver now.

How did you come up with the name My Little Buffalo? And just who is Lisa Nelson?

Well its slightly embarrassing, but I call my husband “Buffalo”. So mylittlebuffalo just came naturally and stuck. Lisa Nelson is short, optimistic, and creative. I’m a people pleaser at all costs, which can be to my detriment.

What made you decide to open up shop?

I always have these little creative spurts that burst out of me, so I thought that if I had a shop I would be encouraged to do it more often and see where it leads. It’s been really fun, and a GREAT outlet from the office life. I get to go home and do whatever I want to do creatively.

Share with us a favorite Etsy purchase or shop.

Well that’s almost impossible, but I just love chet and dot. I think just about everything they make puts me into an immediate puddle. And of course GUSSY :)

What are you listening to right now? Rilo Kiley, they are my favorite. I wish her voice was my voice.

Name one place you must visit in your lifetime and why.

Greece, I always dream of hanging out with my girls there.
