I’m getting back into handmade!

So, there’s some exciting news to be shared: I’m re-opening my handmade shop! I’ve been playing around with fabric and metal zippers and suede Caroline-made tags, and it’s been so affirming to have made this big decision. Earlier this week I spent some serious time sewing a new batch of zipped pouches. The entire time I felt totally in my element, and I’m thrilled to be back in the handmade scene.

There are a few changes though, the biggest being I’ll be the gal behind the sewing machine. There were many years where I had a small team of assistants working alongside me, but after some thought I’ve decided to re-focus my time to sewing and growing my brand personally.

Each new release of product will be sewn in small batches inside our Los Angeles home. We have moved my desk so I’ll be sewing in front of a large window, it’s been perfect and so inspiring. I can’t help but think back on the months I spent sewing when we lived in Detroit. That time reflects the foundation of all the years leading up to this moment, for sure.

When will Caroline-made re-open? I’m hopeful for this week, but I’ll be sure to announce the details here.

Thanks for being so excited with me! What a happy time this is :)

Yay …. I am so excited for you, and glad you are sewing in your home, what a great thing to do !!!

You inspired me, when you shared “Handmade business in 30 days”, at the time my dream was to have an Etsy shop, I learned a lot and it helped me get the courage and go in the right direction to open my Etsy shop.

I wish you the best :-)

    Thank you ! Karen
