{day 4 of 7: my personal challenge}

August 1, 2011 · 9 Comments

hi there, and happy August 1st to you! my personal challenge is going really, really well. i have finally convinced myself {after wearing my hair straight(ish) for 4 days now} that i like the hairstyle change. with time, i’m definitely more comfortable. which is a good thing, and exactly what i was hoping for, right? and while i do feel like i look so SO different, i think it’s a good different…

yesterday, hubby and our cousin, gunnar, were downtown hanging out. we stopped by Barnes & Noble and i saw the latest copy of Where Women Create with my FAVORITE fabric designer ever on the cover, Heather Bailey. i’m super excited to read through the issue and love that my beautiful “to-do” is Miss Heather :]

i also did a little grocery shopping yesterday, and this time i knew exactly what i was looking for {yay, go me!}. mango is one of my favorite fruits, and the store i shop at sells it pre-cut, which i love! one thing i try to shoot for when i shop is having more items go in the fridge than the pantry — that way i know i’m eating healthier.

♥

here’s a little shout-out to the TOP 5 REFERRERS FROM JULY {thank you}:

well, i’m off to photograph a few new things for blog posts! and check email! and look at new fabric!
xoxo

    Good going on challenging yourself! One thing to do when you go grocery shopping: just shop around the outside of the aisles.. ex: fruit, vegetables, meat, yogurt/dairy… all the stuff inside the aisles is pre-packaged and unhealthy for the most part.

    I love your straight do. That’s an advantage with wavy/curly hair. You can change it up with not much problem. Although mine takes about 45 to an hour to get straight even with it cut shorter. So that’s not fun, but having a totally different hairstyle is!

    The straight hair looks just as awesome as your curlies :-)

    One way I *try* to eat healthier is cut up everything I need for a salad ahead of time and put it in ziploc containers. Then, when it’s time to eat I just throw my salad together and dig in! If it’s easy and accessible I am much more likely to eat healthfully! {plus it lets my family be all choosy choosy with their salads}

    Have an awesome day looking at new fabric….I’m so envious right now!

    I love your hair straight!! It really frames your cute face:) Do you know what is really good right now? Cantalope!! SO sweet and juicy!! Love it. A healthy snack that is like a treat for me is organic vanilla yogurt with cut pieces of strawberrys and granola mixed in there. So yummy:)
    HAve fun looking at fabric, I get to do that later this week:)

    I think your hair looks great straight just as it does when it’s curly! :) And I love the Where Women Create Magazine too! My Aunt buys them and then she usually passes them off to myself or my sisters when she is done reading them. She got me hooked! :)
