We have about three weeks to go, then my little posse of three upgrades to four! It’s been “just the three of us” for almost 17 months now, but I remember plain as day when it was just Maxwell and I. We had so much to learn — we were both so new at this whole “life” thing, but we had equal amounts of fun, too :) Then in October of 2014, Natalie was born, and honestly I struggled with being a mama to two littles so close in age. (Do you remember me sharing how I struggled to get both kids, our dog, and our double stroller down a flight of stairs when we were living in our Los Angeles apartment?) Small things easily felt like big things, but in the end a little fresh air, sunshine, and friendly advice cured all my woes. The three of us have found our groove, and it’s so sweet. I am really loving the current stages and ages of Max and Natalie, especially because they’ve grown into the sweetest pair of friends.

We are on the countdown, and once again I’m all kinds of excited and nervous and uncertain and feeling totally ready to rock! I’ve officially hit the “cry any time, any where” stage of pregnancy, totally normal — right? :) And during all of this, I’m so grateful for how well Zack comforts me, as well as both of our moms. I think we moved back to the Midwest at just the right time. But anyway, back to my posse of little people… I really value being their mama, and seeing a photo of us together affirms so much of what my heart already feels! This is the good stuff.

You totally get to cry whenever you want! Just be glad you’re that kind of pregnant woman. I was always the snappy and short tempered one, which isn’t my personality at all. Pregnancy is very hard. But you’re handling it beautifully!
