One of the first things I loved about the mamaRoo infant seat was how compact it is. We live in a cozy apartment in Los Angeles with our two young children and dog, so having furniture that’s compact gets a thumbs up from me. Something else I love? The pop of seat color against the white base. I am a huge fan of color, and having baby gear that blends in with the styling of our home makes me happy.

The time I have each day to teach my children well, to love them, to cuddle them and play with them really is fleeting. I love the quote, “the days are long but the years are short” because it’s a beautiful reminder to embrace all that mamahood is.

I’m embracing these wild, short years by making lists of all we accomplish each week. Even on the most difficult of days I’m amazed at all the play and learning we do together. I’m not afraid to ask for help, and our mamaRoo is my modern day Mary Poppins. It features comforting rhythms that calm Natalie, the contrast/color fabric balls make her smile, and I love that I can change the speed or sound through the 4moms iPhone app. The only thing it’s missing is a spoonful of sugar for mama ;)

I’ll be honest, it’s easy-to-use baby gear like the mamaRoo that helps me fully engage with Maxwell, prep meals or paint my nails (wink). And I can easily move the mamaRoo to whatever room we’re playing in so we can include Natalie, too! (Or she can rest quietly in the other room if big brother is being too loud.)

We love our mamaRoo and I’m so excited to offer one lucky Maggie Whitley Designs reader one, too!

It’s been the one thing that restores us both and I love the cuddles we share. When we have #2 I probably won’t have that luxury anymore :( a mamaRoo would be awesome for this alone! With one on the way!! I am trying to win this for my brother, my niece will be born in July! They don’t
Have anything for the baby yet and this would be such a HUGE blessing for our family! They have two little boys as well and can relate to you on a small home. They have a two bedroom home so any space they can save is awesome!! I have been following this brand for a while now and have always been so intrigued! This is a great giveaway and we’d love the opportunity to experience the joys of these mamaroos! Miss Nyla Grace would love it!

Easy to assemble and babies love it! Then saw that the mamaroo is on a whole ‘nother level of baby rockers. Would love it! We have one Rockaroo between our 3-week old twin boys and would love another but can’t afford it right now. Having multiples means buying multiples of alsmot EVERYTHING! I grew up in Oceanside California; if I can steal a few minutes outside, in the sun, and paint my toe nails or read a book…Omgosh stop it…that’s bliss! I’m super protective about my baby’s skin and what they’re breathing. So during infancy there’s very little sun exposure and I give up on my nails almost completely (amongst other things, lol). IF I ever get to do my nails, it’s outside. And man do I love the warmth of the sun. :)

I have heard great things about the Mamaroo, especially from medical professionals. I definitely think we need one for our small NY apt. We are expecting our first, a boy, in about 3 weeks. I’m not sure about how I’ll unwind while the little guy is relaxing, but I imagine I’ll be using that time to eat, brush my teeth, get some housework done, any little errands that I wouldn’t be able to do with him in my arms.

I keep hearing the most wonderful things about the mamaroo and cannot wait to get one for my little one’s nursery. My husband and I are awaiting the arrival of our first baby and, like most first time moms, I have anxiety out the wazoo wanting to get everything ready before he or she is here. I know it seems silly, but having the mamaroo would help put my mind at ease (at least a little bit) knowing I had a safe place for the baby to rest while I work on healing myself and keeping the house in order.

I’d heard such great things about the mamaRoo and wanted one so badly, but we couldn’t afford it, and with my husband still in school, we won’t be able to buy one for the next baby either. I usually prefer to hold baby over anything else – he’s so comfy! My idea of “unwinding” when I do put him down is usually crafting, though! If I’m not holding baby – I’m making something for baby! :)

My favorite way to unwind is to take a nice hot bubble bath, ALONE. I have 5 children (9,6,2,1,2 weeks) so it’s very rare to be able to take a bath alone but when I get the chance, I LOVE it! I’m a stay at home mom so I am with my children 24/7. I cosleep as well so I don’t ever have any time to myself at all. That 20 minutes bath alone is like heaven! :)

My current way of unwinding is sitting outside on our patio and breathing in the crisp, fresh winter air. At least that’s the only thing that is currently really helping with my morning sickness. We just found out that we’re expecting our first, due September 4th. We’ve wanted to enter on the 4moms Facebook feed, but can’t without spilling the beans to all of our family & friends. At only 7 weeks, we’re just not ready to share the news yet. However, I have used mamaRoos in my business and in my hospital and absolutely LOVE them. Favorite way to unwind would definitely be to just curl up in the bed and snooze myself. Seems there’s often too much to do to allow for that but that’s my fav.

When my 7 week old takes her afternoon cat nap (it’s usually 45 minutes), I love nothing more than to run a super hot bath with oil…I light a candle, turn on light music, set the baby monitor next to me, get in and close my eyes. It’s my “me time”, I clear my mind and reflect on my day and all I accomplished (or didn’t! Let’s be honest! haha) and what else I need to do that day. Seriously, besides the smell of a newborn, there’s nothing else that tops a hot bath mid-day. Eeeeeek!

My 6 year old and 4 year old are always trying to pick her up. Trying to get things done around the house is harder. putting her down means she’ll cry as soon as she realizes she’s not in my arms

Their are many things that I would like to do when my baby is resting. The first thing would be cleaning my house. We all know that it’s never easy to clean when your holding a newborn in your arms. Always needing to do laundry, dishes, wash bottles, etc.
Another thing I would like to do when my baby is resting is take a shower. Seems like I always want to shower but rarely get a free minute to do it. I have a newborn & a 4 year old & my husband works all the time so I always have my hands full.

This would be awesome for our little one on the way. We have a 2 year old now and it would help me spend my time with both of them.

When my first was a baby I loved to unwind by catching up on a favorite show while having a cup of coffee :) Now that I’m due this summer with our 2nd I am sure I will be unwinding a bit differently…probably by giving some much deserved one on one time to my big boy :) I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE ONE OF THESE FOR THE NEWEST MEMBER OF OUR FAMILY!

Cleaning, though most don’t consider this unwinding I find it very relaxing to be in a clean environment, and so I consider it relaxing our environment a clean one. Especially considering how fast everything gets so dirty.

I like to read a good book or get absorbed in Friends on Netflix while baby is napping. Going to be a mommy of two in September, so nap time I will probably nap too!

In the winter I like to cozy up with a warm drink – hot cocoa, apple cider or tea. During the summer, a nice cool drink, maybe a low alcohol margarita.
