Let the inspiration surround you…

Last weekend, when Zack drove down to Chicago and I chatted his little ear off, we stopped at this amazing shop called P.O.S.H. Chicago. There was so much loveliness to look at — housewares, antique hotel silver, glassware, things for kids — oh, they had such C U T E things for kids!

I love when shops have things everywhere, yet it all seems to be in place. It reminded me a bit of a shop my mom and I loved to visit together when Zack and I were first married and living in Lansing, MI {October Moon}. We have a love for unique shops like that.

Julia’s Kitchen Wisdom — this book caught my attention right away {above}.

I love the dishes piled high, the drawers pulled out, mugs fluttering about…

I love the amber glasses, the fall leaves, the birds set up as pairs…

Mini fabric banners — swoon!

I found the cutest dolly version of The Princess and the Pea…

Along with stuffed Royal Soldiers {and $5 vintage toy cars — eek!}

Plates hung to the ceiling {reminds me of you know who}…

I wanted to bring home these mustard cups & saucers…

P.O.S.H. Chicago, 613 North State Street — Have you ever been?

    um, no. But now I really, really want to. My husband and I have been batting around the idea of a trip to Chicago just him and I for a few days – he wants to see Wrigley, and now, I want to see P.O.S.H. :)

    I actually stopped by to let you know you had been nominated for best quit your day job AKA best create your dream job story of 2010 – for the Who’s WHO in 2010 for 2011 blogging event .

    If you have a favorite story of someone quitting their day job – following THEIR dreams – we’d love you to nominate it here:
