A little reminder to make the art, to share the art we make, to resist the internal urge to keep hidden the things that bring us joy. // I drew & painted some art for a large set of notecards for my MIL. I’m always doodling in my journals and sermon notes and grocery lists. Reminds me of a prompt from “The Hidden Art of Homemaking” by Edith Schaeffer to make the everyday beautiful by adding hand-drawn art. 💕🍊🍋🌿

I’m so tickled by this. Zack needed some real houseplants as set props for a commercial he was producing over the weekend. He called me and asked me to put a few on the porch to bring with. This is what I gave him. Haha! Plants make me very happy :) btw, considering the number of plants we have inside, this really is just “some” of them 😆🌿🌿🪴💕

Well well, look at these happy & special memories of Zack with our four children. Happy Father’s Day to him! I ordered photo magnets as part of his gift bc I know he treasures having photos with the kiddos. And since we’re in the fridge about 72 times a day, we’ll definitely notice them 😆💙 what a guy we have! So patient. So fun. So intentional. So invested. So solid. Such a gift you are, Zack! Our champion.

helloooooo, TGIF! helloooooo, rainy day! Our nanny is on vacay this week (good girl!), so we’re having a fun day of pancakes and jammies and lots of reading and favorite activities so I can finish my school work. I’m already on page 485 of this book 🤣🥴👍🏻. Week 5 of seminary and I’m still so so happy I applied and took the leap. Zack teased me last night, “It takes a special kind of brain to enjoy reading so much and writing so much.” He is happy for my special brain. And I’m happy for his! For two months he worked a job on Pacific time zone, for xbox, so we’re happy to have him “back.” And now he’s on set shooting commercials for a different job. (He’s a producer.) But back to my big girl reading... Pray I understand and retain what I’m learning. THANKS! 🥰📖 @_zwhit

After playing outside the entire day, their reward is Spirit 🐎👧🏻. And I’m changing their bed sheets 🛏💪🏻! This motherhood work is neverrrrrrrr ending, but so is the opportunity for joy and roaring laughter. BIG NEWS BELOW! We are finishing our last month of school. Lately we’ve been away from home for our lessons, but I still bring our books and put in the effort to keep our rhythm going. 🌷💌🌿✏️📚this means making our beds, opening the curtains, getting dressed, and praying aloud when I feel incapable 🖤🙌🏻. Also — big news I’m going back to college! I’ll be getting my Master’s from @moodybible and I start in 2 weeks! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 so so so so so so so excited!

The month of April has included a lot of blustery weather, which I don’t mind. 🍃🌿☔️💨I love the way the earth is preparing for new growth, and it’s been persistent to share its preparative work with us. Even with the blurry pink blossoms, I think the colors on this tree are beautiful. There are so many vibrant colors outside right now. And if we’re paying attention, we’ll notice them. I’m glad I notice them. Soon this tree will transition to shades of green, but for now, vibrancy is here. ((more on my blog 🗒✏️ #maggiewhitleydotcom))
