Introducing: the Glory and Mountains shop

Years ago, like literally 16 years ago, I started an Etsy shop called Gussy Sews. It was 2008 and I had just discovered the handmade scene of Etsy. Etsy was still a new concept, and designing a zipped pouch with ruffles on the front (to hold my purse essentials) was my newest creative project.

I ran Gussy Sews for about eight years, and with each new baby to join our family (four babies in five years), I stepped back from my business a little bit more. It was the right thing to do, ya know? Babies don’t keep.

Fast forward to today. I’m a mama of five young children, my oldest is 11 years and my youngest is newly 1 year old.

I’m baking sourdough bread, making cold-brew coffee for Monday night Bible study, helping my kids pick out really good books (and reading myself), and frequently opening our home to friends. And, I’m also preparing for our 6th year of homeschool, which we will begin in about three weeks.

With all of this going on – visiting with friends and our church family and neighbors popping over and all my friend’s children (there are a lot…!), I have been thinking about ways to merge my creativity with the current season I’m in.

Learning is my thing. I love it so much. As is reading, writing, and good conversation.

You can likely imagine the noise and questions and (happy) messes that float through a home of five children. It’s never dull here :) And with our preference being to not have the TV on often, my mind is quick to come up with creative ideas for my kids – unless I simply shrug and say, “bummer.”

(Boredom is the fuel for creativity!)

And now I want to share: I have recently opened a BRAND NEW Etsy shop.

Inside you’ll find PDF downloads for Bible study and home organization. There are a handful of items ready now, with even more in my creative queue :)

^^ Weekly Planner (link) ∙ PDF Instant Download, 5 colors ∙ $2

^^ Bible Study Bookmarks, 8 designs (link) ∙ PDF Instant Download, 3 pages ∙ $2

^^ Rooted in Christ, mini-Bible study (link) ∙ PDF Instant Download, 8 pages ∙ $4

^^ Letter Writing Kit (link) ∙ PDF Instant Download, 13 pages ∙ $6

^^ Bible Verses, for handwriting practice (link) ∙ PDF Instant Download, 8 pages ∙ $2

Are you working on any creative projects? What does September look like for your family?

I certainly appreciate you for reading along, and being a friend to me through the internet :)

xx, Maggie
