A homeschool resource as you prepare to celebrate spring

Hi, friends!

Well, we jumped back into homeschool this morning, at precisely 9:37am, after taking a week off for “mid-winter break”. Before we gathered at the table to learn we feasted on bacon, eggs and buttermilk pancakes. I definitely know how to lure them in ;) But in all seriousness, sometimes “having something to look forward to” is the best way to grab your child’s attention, and that’s exactly what I wanted to do this morning.

Many of you know I’ve been homeschooling my children for a few years now (I teach 2nd grade, 1st grade, and pre-K) and share bits and pieces of that HERE.

In hopes of staying inspired to learn and grow our minds (mother included) I wanted to share a really helpful resource with you…

My real life friend Ashley Howry of Home + Haven Homeschool Community, along with her sister Kaitlin (who has her Masters in curriculum development), has created a gorgeous Spring Theme Bundle. Not only is Ashley is a homeschooling mama of seven kiddos, but she and her many siblings were homeschooled K-12. So this is a resource I am eager to dive into with my children!

If you’re just hearing about the Spring Theme Bundle, it’s a printable bundle of spring themed activities for your early elementary kids (PreK-2nd). If you’re a teacher, this would be a bonus bundle for using in your classroom.

Through Friday this week (February 26th), the bundle is just $25. Click here to view + purchase.

HOW TO USE THE SPRING BUNDLE:

1. Choose a unit that you want to focus on
2. Pick out coordinating books for that unit. They have provided recommended book lists, but encourage you to find other books as well!
3. Read, read, read those books! The best kind of learning comes from reading together with your children! (amen)
4. Print off coordinating activities and worksheets from the Spring Bundle. It will bring to life what you have been reading about!

HERE’S WHAT’S INSIDE:

+ Over 200 pages of content
+ Spring Themed Units: Gardening, Chickens, Cows, Butterflies and Bees
+ Fun Educational Activity Sheets
+ Craft Tutorials (see sample below)
+ Gardening Journal
+ Grow your own Herb Garden Project: with child friendly recipes they can make with the herbs they grow!
+ Hands on activities for promoting math and literacy
+ Science projects
+ STEM focused activities
+ Coordinating Book Lists
+ and more!

GENTLE REMINDER:

The Spring Theme Bundle is available now through Friday, February 26th‬ for $25. After Friday the price will increase to $50 for the rest of the season. Once you complete your purchase you’re allowed to print as many copies of the 200+ pages included as you want/need.

Below are some sample pages from the five themes: Gardening, Chickens, Cows, Butterflies and Bees —

Also included are a few craft tutorials (so, so fun), plus a “Grow your own Herb Garden” project —

I really enjoy the wonder & delight of gathering educational resources to keep handy. I want to help my children fill their minds and lives with truth, goodness & beauty, which holds high value in our home.

Spring is just a few weeks away. Glory, glory :)

xx, Maggie
