BEAUTIFUL
Love that quote :) I remember reading those books when I was little and declaring to my dad that I wish I was Laura Ingalls Wilder and have such an interesting life. I’ll never forget that he told me that they lived everyday lives and someday someone will think our lives were just as interesting. Such truth!
WOW — that is amazing your dad shared that with you, how wise! And yes, true! :)
What a great reminder! Comparison never does any good!
Thank you for this. Seriously. I am an “idea” person. Constantly able to come up with NEW ideas, which is a HUGE gift… until I start comparing them with what everyone else is doing:
“Is it good enough? Am I successful enough? Why isn’t this working better? What is WRONG with me?”
I think maybe the way God made me is good enough, after all.
Thanks for a lovely reminder. I was just reading a parenting book (I have 4 kids!) that said when we are resting in the grace we have recieved, we are able to offer grace to our children. Yes!
