Home for the holidays!

Our entire family is in Michigan for the holidays — even Bauer pup, and I am seriously amazed at how different it is from our home in Los Angeles. Amazed in such a good way, might I add :) The differences were immediate and began as we were landing in Grand Rapids: look at all of the green! Look at the farm lands! Look at how light traffic is! When I look around me my eyes “see” quiet; my soul feels like it can breathe.

I think my very favorite difference so far is all of the green we see. Normally we’d be walking upon a layer of fresh, white snow, but it hasn’t come just yet. We have had an exhausting week leading up to our arrival, so it feels especially grand to be here and see our families and enjoy meals with them. And sneak away for a quick trip into town, quaint coffee shop. And have a little bridal shower for my sister-in-law :) And have help with the kids. And hug our moms. And and and!!! :) There’s just so much good happening, and I wish the very same for you and your family. Be back soon with some more photos of the kids! xx
