Pumpkin carving and waiting.

Last night we went to a pumpkin carving party at Zack’s work. It was so great to meet everyone and snack on yummy pumpkin treats (a pregnant woman’s dream, haha). And I’ve very decided every day that passes where I don’t go into labor is like an extra treat for our family.

It can be so hard to wait but I definitely know the beauty that come with waiting… so I will :) These last days as a family of three are so precious to me. I know once our baby is placed in my arms will be a precious moment too, and it’ll begin a new and wonderful season for us.

    Dear Maggie,
Thank you for sharing! When we were waiting for our babygirl we baked cupcakes with my son as invitation for the baby. She still waited but the cupcakes were yummy and my son like it a lot.;)
Good Luck these next days! Keeping fingers crossed for a beautiful birth!
    Love from overseas!

What a precious memory to make as a family of 3! And what a good attitude. I’m going to try my best to enjoy every moment today as well.

Zach’s smile is so contagious, and you look so full of joy, I can never look at a picture of you two without smiling too!

I think your attitude is amazing. I’m somewhat ashamed to admit that in my 40th week with kid 2 I was more like a waddling bomb of hormonal explosiveness just waiting for another person to comment on how huge I was… haha. Well that’s what it seems like in hindsight anyway. I’m sure I was more pleasant on the outside than I felt on the inside. :)

You seem so serene and glowing and I’m just so excited for you to welcome this new babe into your amazing family. :)

PS – Max may be young for this yet, but when my second was born I bought my eldest a little gift ‘from the baby’ that she could unwrap… she was too young to question how the baby got the money and it helped make it a delightful arrival for her! Also I put a little photo of her beside the baby’s change table/in his bassinette, and she was really excited about that. Just a few tips if you’re at all concerned about how Max will receive baby. He’ll probably be just fine though since he’s still so young. :)
