What May has looked like.

It is May, right? I really had to do a double-take after I typed the post title. Whoooo. It seems there is so much going on, yet there is so much less going on than usual. May has been a good month for us, mainly because we did some major tweaking in April.

I couldn’t be happier for the slower pace.

So for May, I finally took some time to slow down and paint my nails, one of my favorite ways to pass time. You know that :) Sheer pink polish on three fingers and my thumb with a hot pink accent nail on my pointer.

Absolutely gorgeous weather has graced us in Los Angeles, so much that we’re enjoying our twice-daily long neighborhood walks once again. We had an entire week of weather that reached almost three digits and so seeing 70* appear in the weather app was glorious. Sorry Midwest, I know you’re still running your furnaces.

Max absolutely loves when I stop the stroller next to the different bushes and flowers growing so he can touch the leaves and petals. Except I found a leaf in his mouth at the end of our walk recently?

I found a forgotten gift card in my wallet so I picked up a couple larger terra cotta pots and re-potted an aloe vera plant and a fern. I enjoy the burst of green houseplants provide, don’t you? (Don’t laugh at me.)

Hello, sewing machine! It’s been a little while since I had the sewing machine on our kitchen table but it’s been a welcomed change. You helped us put a fun batch of Gussy products in the mail for May. Also, how gorgeous is that vintage floral fabric? Yes, yes.

So that about wraps up what this month has looked like for our little family. Not pictured: lots of laundry (how are we still catching up from our camping trip a couple weeks ago?), lots of home decor/furniture re-arranging (it’s a sickness, I tell you), and Bauer relishing in one of his new hiding spots (between our bed and the window, where Max doesn’t usually make his way to (out of sight, out of mind)). What have you been up to?

    It’s going to be 80 today in Michigan, so I will NOT be in my house cleaning or in my basement sewing at all!

    My excitement is off the charts!

    I’m so wondering where did you get that floral fabric from?

      @Katie, it’s vintage — a thrift store :)
