I had a fisher-price doll house that I adored!! The kitchen was my favorite room. The doll house above is beyond gorgeous:) Have a great day!!
I had one growing up that I just loved. I don’t remember what happened to it but I also remember my mom collecting “Petite Princess” doll furniture for my sister and I. I still have some of those pieces. I also have a small collection of “Bespaque” furniture too! Would love to have another doll house one day!
My grandpa built my sisters and me a 12 room dollhouse with his bare hands when we were little. My mom saved it all these years and I’m fixing it up to give to my daughter for her 5th birthday in a couple weeks. I’m so excited to see it revived, and am looking forward to making new memories with her, and with something I cherished so much as a child.
I’m with you!
I don’t have any children but I want to make a dollhouse either way. There are so many cute things to make! How could I not do it?! Sarah Jane’s fabric is so adorable.
That is adorable! My favorite dollhouse furniture growing up was a delicate wooden set at my grandparents house. I don’t remember if it was my grandmother’s or if it had been my mom/aunts’. Either way, I would still love to have it. But I never had a house this colorful!
I had a cute two-story dollhouse that I loved. My mom and dad built it for me from a kit. My favorite part of it was re-arranging the furniture…over and over and over again! I loved the attic too…I put the bathroom up there which I’m sure my dolls did not appreciate.
I had a Fisher Price too, and my favorite room was the bathroom. I have no idea why, but like Kristina I also put my bathroom in the attic! Seemed like a good place for it!
Man I’ve always wanted a dollhouse but never got one! This dollhouse is beautiful! I’m 32… would it be wrong to get one now??
I had a dollhouse when i was little, but I also remember a store at the mall that I could spend hours in – it was called Let’s Pretend and it had TONS of stuff for dollhouses, little people and tiny pots and pans and furniture. I think that is where I get my love of home decorating from!
i loooove sarah jane’s illustrations! and that dollhouse is about the cutest thing i’ve ever seen.
Oh does this bring me back! I longed to have a doll house so bad as a child. I did get the deluxe Barbie house when I was 6 or7 that I played with for hours, but it wasn’t the same. You had to play with the furiture it came with, there wasn’t a shop you could go to for curtains and lamps and tiny little chairs…I had a friend whose mom got one, we would sit and watch her decorate it. (sigh)
Sarah Jane’s doll house is SO adorable, brings me right back…do you know where she lives? I’d like to have a play date with her doll house, er I mean her! ;0)
Can’t wait to see what Gussy has in store.
Adorable! It reminds me of one that my dad built me when I was little. I loved it! I love all the different fabrics as wallpaper! Such a great idea.

Vere since I saw a couple of these vintage-y dollhouses “made over” on Ashley Ann’s blog, Ive been obsessed with them. I even have an entire board dedicated to them on Pinterest.
Im searching for one for my girls for Christmas that I can give a sweet little makeover to. They have one of the Loving Family Dollhouses with totes full of accessories but plastic just doesnt cut it as far as Im concerned!
