{7 *handsome* things on Sunday}

HAPPY birthday, Bauer! Today you are 1 year old ~ and because Zack and I love to celebrate the little things in life, today we celebrated you! I made Bauer a little bow tie from Lindsey’s tutorial and then the 3 of use headed to a new pet shop in Uptown, one that’s been around for a while but we had never been to: Urbanimal. So fun! Bauer cracks me up — he loves attention {and the camera} and loved picking out some new toys + treats. We had such a fun day together, our little family of 3 :]

So — today’s “7 pretty things” post has been re-named to “7 *handsome* things”, just for Bauer, hah!

Here’s my list of handsome things:
1. the way you add a dash of spunk to our family
2. your super cute, super wet black puppy nose
3. your pink tongue, and how it’s sticks out
4. the adventures we go on together!
5. your dad ~ tee hehe! {he’s so handsome!}
6. your curiosity! some days i think you’re a little person, not a little doggie
7. how you fit right in… how did we ever live life without you, Bauer? :]

After the pet shop Bauer & I played outside alllllll day long. Like, all afternoon. {Oh, I am so sunburned!} I finally finished Julie & Julia, we played in the sprinkler, I drank lots of lemon water, Bauer drank lots of ice-cold hose water, and we played fetch. Such a perfect day!

Then — to really make Bauer’s birthday crazy fun, we had our friends Julian & Jenny over for a cookout. Brats, grilled bell peppers, kettle chips, a yummy salad ~ and ice-cream for dessert! Y U M. The rain may have ended our campfire early, but that’s OK! We’ll just have another one :]

And now… time to crash! I hope your weekend was super awesome! xoxo

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAUER!!! I just love him. He is adorable. I have a soft spot for terriers. I have a Cairn Terrier, Bogart. They have a very similar color and face!!!

    I totally understand your question regarding how did you live without Bauer! My puppies bring such joy, and I can’t imagine (or remember) life without them. Happy Birthday, Bauer!
    xoxo, Anita

    Bauer is so so very handsome! There’s not much I love more than a scruffy pooch! We celebrate all of our critters birthday’s as well, or adoption days for the ones we don’t know. :) They are part of the family after all. :)

    Happy Birthday Bauer!!!
    What a cute boy! And the picture of you two is sooo cute. It seems that he’s resembles you and your side of the family more than Zack. TeeHee!! Your day sounds almost perfect!!!

    I hope Bauer had a spectacular birthday! I wish we had cute pet stores like that around here for me to take the Dade-monster & Skylar, but the ones we have are just your average PetSmart kind of places.

    I would love to spend my dogs’ birthdays like that, but there’s not way we can play outside all day with our nasty humid weather. I think ours will be spent as a snugglefest, which seems to work for them.
