Tuesday night I took the bus downtown {a quick 20-minute ride} and met Zack for dinner at my favorite restaurant. We feasted on yummy Italian food and seriously enjoyed the celebration of Gussy Sews 1st year. My mother-in-law mentioned something that I really think is amazing: write down what the end of year 1 feels like, so I can remember it in the future :] I totally agree, some times it can be hard to remember the little details. There are definitely a few from my first day that I don’t think I’ll ever forget… mmm. I’m very thankful.

The first two picks on the top row are from our date Tuesday night. The bottom two pics are from yesterday (Wednesday). Bauer and I usually walk with Zack to the bus stop, then the bow-man and I take a nice, loooong morning walk. AND THEN MY DAY GETS CRAZY, hah! I’ve been thinking a lot lately on “the power of asking for help” — how much it’s assuaged me and seriously benefited the biz. {mom, do you remember that vocab word, from like 7th grade? hah! assuage. and how you told me how I should remember how to spell it!}

    OK, I sew in my free time. Free time with four kids in tow that is. Sewing is my therapy, my release, my way to pay for sports camp, a confirmation that I can do something that makes someone happy. God has taken my sewing “career” on so many different adventures. Currently, he is filling my head with tons of ideas for purses, pouches and accessories that can interchange, ruffle, button and bring a smile to someone’s face.
    I have read a bunch of blogs. Awesome Christian women sharing their faith, their trade and their lives one post at a time. I think it is time that I show the world how God is working (not to mention how exciting life with 4 young kids can be).
