[testing, testing]

Hi there, this is Bauer {wags tail}. My mama used to have dreams of writing a weekly column or working for a magazine, but instead she’s living this new dream of sewing full time. I told her I’d write one instead and she could help me work the mouse.

Every day this mama of mine takes photos of me and I know they end up on here… I know they do. Or on that Twitter site thing. She took these photos, too. Kisses — ick! So with my new, weekly column {I’m going to call it Bauer’s daybook}, most of the time you’ll see photos + a caption, but some times I’ll write little stories.

You know I have a lot to share… My mama spends a lot of time on her business {she works from home} and so we spend a lot of time together. Actually, I nap a lot but that’s still considered spending time together… right? My favorite place to nap is on her bed or on the ottoman. I’m young {7 months} and I get real sleepy looking out the windows.

Want to know something else? Every time dad comes home from work I run to the door and my mama talks to him for me. She translates my thoughts so we can all hear them. All I have to do is wag my tail real fast and sit on the rug and watch dad walk through the door. She does alllll the talking for me {Gussy is the perfect nickname. Good job, grandma!}.

Know what else? We have really similar hair. Everyone notices & comments. I get so embarrassed… one day I hope to grow a mustache so I can look like my grandpa.

OK. That’s all for this week — see you next Wednesday!

~ Bauer

Well they do say Bauer that the owner and pet start to look alike…….I guess it is definitely true! All your momma’s customers and twitter friends love you and you know you are so darn cute!!! My little 4 lb yorkie may just be a little jealous at that big ball of fur you wear!!

    Hi Bauer,

It’s Ollie, my momma calls me her furr baby but I’m really a golden retriever. I’m super jealous you can nap on your ottoman, I’m definitely too big for that these days. But believe me buddy, I understand what you mean about those naps! You’ll still be sleeping most of the day in 2 months when you’re my age. And seriously, how do mom’s know what we’re thinking when dad comes home? Mom says “hi dad hi dad hi dad!!!!!!” as soon as I hear the door open. Looking forward to hearing more from you soon! Wish we could meet in person (or is it in dog? hmm)!

    Woof,
    Ollie

This is absolutely adorable. I love that his tongue is sticking out in the second to last photo. The cuteness is almost too much! xoxo

I think you did a great job, Bauer, but my cat, Moxie, is completely disinterested. Sorry. At least you have Piper.

Bauer, you’re gonna have to get used to those kisses. I’m Jonathan, my momma’s Golden Retriever mix. Who names their dog Jonathan? In spite of their inadequacy at naming dogs, I love my people, and I know you love yours. Even if your momma kisses you too much.
