I’m so excited for January! We officially have 2 sewing machines for the biz and I can only DREAM of all the ruffles we will now sew. With the growth of the sewing business we’re seeing some serious growth of this blog, too {sew exciting!}.

If you have a handmade shop or blog that you’d like to promote // grow, contact us! We have all of our advertising information here, including traffic stats & sponsorship testimonials.

I love the Gussy Sews community and all the topics we cover each month: handmade shops, blog/biz 411 topics, inspiration and of course sewing. If you’d like to sign-up for January, send us an email ♥

PS. My mother-in-law gave me the manual for my sewing machine {from the 1980’s ;] } and I’ve been reading through it. Yeow! So many great tips and little bits of info inside.

xoxo

Yay! I can’t wait to get the wristlet that I made my cousin order for me for Christmas (hehe) Just think, someday it’ll be vintage gussy, when you’re all famous. Everyone will be jealous of course.

Do tell. You know how I love to talk sewing machines. It’s difficult to have this interest because most everyone’s eyes glaze over when I sing the praises of sewing machines!! HA.

The older machines are work horses. I love my 1950’s machines – there’s a turquoise one named Beverly, a lavender Fleetwood (yet to be named), a 12-yr. old Pfaff for decorative stitches and a Singer Featherweight for traveling.

I definitely have a problem resisting more sewing machines. Can we see the new machine? Tell us all about it.

Gussy – i am a HUGe handmade supporter, and L♥Ve Etsy – and a lot of my purchase are made by just “poking around” etsy. I was wondering – does BigCartel have a similar set-up , I couldn’t tell by searching your shop – is there any way of finding a Big Cartel shop other than seeing a direct link to it somewhere?
