I had a really big prayer answered for me earlier this week, and again yesterday it was confirmed that I knew it was “right”. Things have been so busy ’round here — all good things, but all very busy things. I’m so looking forward to the weekend. Not really because it will be a weekend of rest, but more so because it will be a weekend of productivity, confidence, and an overall celebration of answered prayers {quick skip around house}.

It’s been a journey, this whole “I’m quitting my day job” thing. Over 4 months have passed since I made the commitment and some times it seems like it’s just been one massive day. Hah! But it’s amazing… of course :]

This past week, hesitation had been my middle name. I was afraid to make a recent decision because it would mean more work {at first}. Turns out that making this decision wasn’t half as bad ;]

You see, I’ve been looking for an assistant, someone to help me keep things moving in the Gussy room. But I am no longer in need of help. Yay!

***

Look at what my friend emailed me last night:

That’s one of our zipped pouches in The Pioneer Woman’s hand. Yep, that’s at The Creative Connection. I told you it was a great weekend!!! :]

***

Have you heard of the amazing LoveFeast girls? I first met them in August at a meet-up, and I’m now working with them on a Gussy vacation bag — one of these below bags could be yours!

To enter, visit their blog and read the deets. It’s so super easy, but remember to click over to enter!

Chris Ann and Kristin picked out the fabrics and I ordered them from Hawthorne Threads {one of my FAVORITE online fabric stores}. This project was a good challenge for me: it helped me to see fabric combinations differently and {of course} create something a bit different.

Each bag has a coordinating zipped pouch for cords >> laptop, camera, phone, etc., which is so perfect! The bags also have 2 sets of pockets: one in the matching lining fabric {3 pockets total}, and one in the matching outside fabric {2 pockets total}.

Uhmm, that’s 5 pockets my friends.

It’s basically the perfect bag… :]

…which is great because you can win a Gussy/LoveFeast vacation bag for yourself!

Yeowwwww — so amazing!

PS. It’s Friday and October 1st — let’s celebrate with a 10% off discount code. Use code October10 at checkout to save. Code expires October 1st at 11:59pm CST.

Never give up hope – God is always working, even when we can’t see how it will all turn out in the end.

Thanks for the chance to win! Love all the new stuff! Is there an I-pad pouch on the horizon?

The new bags are beautemous! Is it strange that gorgeous fabric can make one swoon? :)

I’m happy to hear about your answered prayers! Things unfold just as they should. I’ve been praying to remain more present…to be active in making the here and now what I want it to be. It’s a daily prayer and practice, for sure!

My way to the Relevant conference is getting much easier because God has sent some sponsors my way. I never thought it would happen. I am so blessed! And I LOVE this bag! I must have! :)

We’re still waiting for an inspirational update on what we’ve been praying about ~ HOWEVER, we hold tight to these three verses: 1) “The mind of a man plans his way but God directs his steps” [Proverbs 16:9]; 2) “for we walk by faith, not by sight.” [2 Corinthians 5:7]; and, 3) “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.'” [Jeremiah 29:11] (New American Standard)

That’s good enough for me! :) Happy Weekend!

These bags are AMAZING! Gorgeous, design-fabulous, and another step down the Gussy path that makes your biz so fantastic — way to go! I totally entered and even if I don’t win, you KNOW I’m buying one or three or five from the shop!

My inspirational update was quite random, in the form of seeing a middle school-aged boy out at the bus stop this morning. He was *playing his violin* while waiting for the bus! That was so beautiful to me. I’ve been praying about finding the motivation to get my creative juices flowing on a number of things I want to do (writing, sewing, making a wreath, publishing my blog). Seeing that kid’s early AM motivation (on a Friday, no less) was the answer/push from God I really needed — a stunning visual!

Loving the color combos on the bags, Gussy! AMAZING. And feel free to call me up if you are ever needing extra help. I don’t live far, and I work for free! :) Our prayers: For me to be able to stay at home full time with the babe (and others to come in the *future*), getting out of credit card debt, new job and blog/writing opportunities for hubby. GOD IS FAITHFUL ALL THE TIME! :)

I have never posted before but I have been reading for awhile…I wanted to say that I love your “testimony style” {if that is such a thing!}…you are very open about your faith without being pushy-it is very warm and welcoming :) I had a recent answer to prayer but it was a “no” to the foster/adoptive process we are pursuing. But since I know the answer came from God, I feel very at piece. I plan on following some of your great budgeting advice and get serious about my lil’ business!

That pouch Ree’s holding is the EXACT one I bought at TCC. Maybe even the one she’s holding!!

We were able to pay off a credit card this week – FINALLY – which means now I can start putting more money into things I love – like, for example, GORGEOUS Gussy bags.

You create such beautiful stuff. It’s fun to hear about your venture – congrats on that awesome picture of you in Ree’s hand. How exciting!

Recent answered prayer = my 3-year-old is loving preschool/daycare. It was such a struggle all of last year, and then she was home over the summer. We thought it was going to be more terror when school started up last month. But it’s going great – she LOVES it! It’s so much easier on all of us.
