What inspires you?
Inspiration for me comes from many places — magazines, books, nature, antique shops, blogs, but most especially vintage objects. Whenever I have some free time I like to visit a couple of antique malls in my area to look for inspiration or go to the library and leaf through home decor magazines.
Where do you call home? Are you from there originally?
I love Washington state, it’s been my home since I emigrated here 22 years ago from the Philippines; I’ve never lived anywhere else.
How did you come up with your shop name?
A lot of thinking and brainstorming. I like that it connotes modern, fresh, sharp, stylish and that’s what I have to keep in mind when I’m out there shopping for my inventory.
Share a little bit about yourself.
You’re just going to have to read my blog :] where I write about my adventures in thrifting, inspirations and some family related topics.
If you had to describe yourself in a word, what would that word be?
Realist.
What made you decide to open up shop?
I started sewing when I was pregnant with my kids, then a couple of years later I discovered Etsy and opened up a shop where I sold my handmade bags and wallets. At the same time I opened a vintage shop to sell items I’ve collected but never really use anymore. My bag shop didn’t take off but my vintage shop got busy the first year, so I just focused my energy and time on finding great vintage items to list. I also honed my photography skills and started a blog which I have to say is a lot of work. {amen}
Do you have a day job or sell on Etsy full-time?
Etsy is my full-time job.
Give us a little glimpse into what a typical day in your life looks like.
It looks more like this, except I get up a little early now and take my kids to kindergarten five days a week.
Share with us a favorite Etsy purchase or shop.
My favorite Etsy purchase was a purse from madebyhank, it’s very well made and original in style.
List a few of your most favorite pastimes.
Thrifting, cooking, gardening, reading, researching about my finds.
What is your most prized possession?
A set of antique earrings and necklace from my grandparents.
What are three of your favorite foods?
Avocado, rice and pho tai soup.
What would you like to learn to do?
I’d love to learn how to crochet.
What are you listening to right now?
Nothing, I like peace and quiet when I’m working — I get easily distracted with sounds or noise.

You always amaze me! You manage to find the neatest, prettiest stuff to feature and the greatest sponsors…not to mention the pretties you create! Such a highlight to my morning. I spent forever going through her shop this morning. Husband resorted to eye-rolling as I was rationalizing my wishlist: “I don’t really NEED it but I could always turn it into a new sewing basket…” :)
I love that I get to get out of bed at a time I like today! And then start the morning off with estate and yard sales. Pretty great start to the weekend! Then, I’ll be working on my sewing studio makeover – paint, furniture, drapes, etc.
The best part about my day is that I woke up early to go for a walk with my husband and our two dogs. It gives us an extra moment in our day together.
I get to go to work today. A lot of people (still) are out of jobs, so I try to remind myself to be thankful for the one I have!
Such fun pieces in this shop! Today is going to be a great day, I finally get some much needed time with my hubby. We’ve been on opposite schedules these past couple weeks and tonight, he’s all mine :) Happy Friday everyone!
How cool! I love learning about shops since I’m a newbie myself! :-) I could volunteer to teach the crochet lessons too since that’s my #1 forte :-) Take care!
A positive for today would have to be my whole morning. After the working out at the gym this morning with my husband and showering, we snuggled in bed with our weenie dog between us and it was so sweet:)

One of my classes was canceled today, so I get to sit around online and look at some of my favorite blogs. :)
It’s a new day- that alone is positive enough for me. I’m looking forward to spending the evening with my 3 grandchildren at their schools’ Movie Night.
We’re headed out of town today to cheer on my sister in law as she runs the Akron Marathon tomorrow!
Today is a beautiful day. It’s overcast, which I love, it’s Friday (and everybody loves that), and tomorrow I’m attending the wedding of a close friend. What’s not to love?

My husband is coming home from a business trip today! He leaves again on Monday so we will pack in all the fun and love we can this weekend :)

I get to leave tonight for Girls Weekend with my Mom, Sisters, and Grandma {plus our 4 dogs}! We are going to Hayward Wisconsin!
I laid in bed with my new baby after she woke up for about 30-45 minutes this morning, we looked at each other, we closed our eyes a little more, and her little hand held my finger. It made me feel so refreshed!!

A co-worker bought the office Starbucks this morning! I usually don’t get Starbucks because we are following Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. So this was a real treat this morning.

Today my husband held my hand across the lunch table and prayed for us (as well as our meal). This is a regular occurrence, but today I just cried and cried over the beauty of it. It was the best I’ve felt all week.
It’s the start of the weekend! :) We have lots of family activities planned, and the weather is amazing!

Today I went skating for the first time in over a year and a half!

the most positive thing about my day is when its totally quiet, i can hear my 2 year old daughter sitting and singing to my 8 week old little baby! :) It seriously melts my heart! :)

The highlight of my day was the call I got from my hubby! He’s on a 4 day hike with his mom and her boyfriend on the Appalachian Trail and I was so glad he had cell service so I could get an update on their day so far. I’m so excited for them and they’re having a fantastic time!!

we had loads of friends and their kids over for a big cook out – no reason – just because. lots of food, fun and tired kids :)
It was a really beautiful, sunny day today and I got to spend it at the dog park with a happy dog and the love of my life ^_^
I think my highlight was having a sleep-in … hard to do with four kids!
And then I saw in ModishVintage’s blog a pair of red clogs! I love red clogs, so my heart skipped a beat, and overtook the sleep-in as the highlight!
Today has been great so far because I woke up smiling (it’s our day off), my husband made coffee (he is really a sweetheart), my 17 month old smiled and played and laughed with us until naptime, and now I am relaxing with my coffee catching up on all the fun blogs! It’s a great day!

Today is my day off and I’m still in my PJs checking out some of my favorite inspiring blogs. Then I might scrapbook, or paint, or go thrifting. Whatever I want and thats whats so great!
Today is laundry day at my house. I love the fresh scent of clean clothes and the thrill of knowing I accomplished something BIG for my family… even if it’s something as simple as climbing a mountain of laundry :-)

Beautiful Sunday–mass and lunch with our adult children and grandchildren. We’ll play games in the yard after lunch now that the weather is cool. Later, I’ll work on a quilt problem that I think I figured out last night. Can’t wait to test it out.
The kiddo is taking a nice long nap and I’m hanging out watching football with the family!
We had a church family picnic! It was so much fun and the weather was absolutely pefect!
I am finishing a final paper for my masters class. I have two more classes left before my husband and I BOTH graduate with our masters degree. We both work full time- so we can’t wait to get our lives BACK!! :)
Went to church today. That was fabulous!
My day was spent at church, worshiping the Lord and singing (I still have the songs stuck in my head) and spending time with a friend who was feeling a little blue. Oh, and chatting with my new friends Eden and Jenna on Skype!

Spent a long weekend at our favorite mountain getaway with the in-laws. WONDERUL time! I do love the mountains :)
