Our mom’s have been asking to see photos of our new house — and so have you all! When we have things the way we want them I’ll take more photos and share…

It’s so exciting to be all moved in and working away. And cooking dinner… except that’s only happened 1 time this week… Yikes.

Every time I call the back work room “the sewing room” Zack corrects me and says “the Gussy room”. He’s so sweet to say that and give me a room for all things ruffled. And a separate room for my ruffles… yes, I realize I’m spoiled. Ahem.

I couldn’t wait to sew, so Monday morning Zack found me in there before I drove him to work. Call me crazy, but I love this house! {And my new workroom!}

Things are picking up and I need to stay organized. I’ve found myself making shopping lists here and there. Lots of things for the office: sticky notes, paper trays {printer paper & shipping label paper}, hanging file folders, etc.

And here’s a picture of our living room —

{Haha — looks like I have a stray lamp to put away.}

I’m so in love with the colors paired with the hardwood floors. And the 22 windows {compared to the 3 that were in our apartment!}

    I love my house! I have worked very hard to get it in the condition it is in today, and as all of my friends are just now starting to buy houses of their own, I think to myself, “Wow. I sure wouldn’t want to buy that house, it needs a LOT of work!” Then I remember how much work my house needed back when I bought it and realize it’s just a process you go through to make something your own.

    Wow! I LOVE all the woodwork and the columns!!! And the blue paint is pretty too. So what I love about my (rental house) is kinda funny, but I love that it has NO popcorn on the ceiling!!! Our last home had popcorn and I cant explain how much cleaner it makes me feel to see a nice flat ceiling. It also has high ceilings and pretty while molding. :)

      And yes, 9-feet walls are amazing :]

    I’m so excited for you to have so much more space! I’ve had my own sewing room and there’s nothing like it. And you have such nice woodwork!

    I love that our townhouse is just the right size. It’s not too much to clean, but it’s not too small to accommodate everything we need. It’s also nice that I can have potted plants, but the community’s service cuts the tiny little front lawn.

    We still have no house or apartment of our own (yes, after almost 2 years of marriage!). It totally stinks but we’re blessed with 2 families who love us enough to let us live in their homes and what I love about that is that our houses always have people in them who we love so much!

    The house is looking great! You get fantastic natural light, something so hard to come by. Anything will look good when you bathe it in sunshine!
    Since you asked, the thing that I love most about my house is that it is totally us. Almost everything in it has meaning or was made by one of us. We have worked hard to have a put-together, totally livable house that keeps up with 2 kids and a dog. Life is good there. :)

    Oh my goodness… I can just tell from your living room pic that your house (or… let’s call it a home: that sounds nice) ;) has such charming architecture!! I’m all about the architectural elements!
    **
    Let’s see… our home? … my faves: the hardwood floors (and, I love that they are wider planks)… that it’s brick & traditional (big, white columns, 4 porches [upstairs & down])…the fact that we actually have some brick on the inside of the house too (didn’t know if I’d like it when the house was being built… but now, it’s totally one of my faves!)…the kitchen! (love the kitchen)…and… you know I have to mention it … THE VINTAGE CLAWFOOT TUB! (yeah. I’m obsessed.) … but, I think my #1 fave is that we have so much land: 20 acres of it – and it’s pretty much all wooded … seems so magical ;)
