{Home Ec sewing class :: share your projects!}

As some of you may know, Home Ec {sewing class} started yesterday! It’s so fun to start this new project, mainly because I love to learn new things but also because this is my first formal sewing class.

[insert wide-eyed look]

I know, right?

I thought we’d have some link-up parties a few times a week where we can share {ok, and show off :] } our Home Ec projects. Remember, if you’re taking the class, add your photos to the Flickr group! The first link-up party will be RIGHT HERE tomorrow — so if you’re taking the class, please come back and link to your completed project(s).

I’m finishing up project #1: cloth napkins… so please don’t feel overwhelmed if you don’t have any or all done when we link-up each week. You can always link-up a project that’s from a previous week, too. Let’s just have fun & share our sewing skillz.

*Home Ec registration is open until Sunday, August 15, so you still have time to sign up!

xoxoxo.

    I want (and need) to take this class, but funds in our household are pretty tight this month! I hope they do another one soon!!! The projects look so fun! I hope that you are having a lovely day!

    I really really want to do this! Part of me is slightly worried that I won’t be able to keep up. I start teaching again really soon….looks like such a great opportunity, though! I might just give in:)

    I want to do it too! I, like the previous commenter, feel as though I won’t be able to keep up! Between a baby, my own business and keeping the house [somewhat] in order I don’t think I will be able to do side projects. Let us know if they offer this again because I really, really want to do it!!

      Torie — I wrote Meg back and told her that the teachers of Home Ec aren’t sure if/when they’re going to do this class again. When you sign-up, you get access to a private blog with all class/project info, and you have 1 year to use the blog access. So you can sign-up now but start the projects later. Or, you can sign-up now and just see how it goes, knowing you have some grace if you can’t “keep up”. I think this is a “work at your own pace” class… it’s going to be fun, no pressure to finish everything if you simply can’t.

      :]

    I signed up for this class and am so excited about it! I love the fact that it is a “work at your own pace” class as you stated above. I think it’s gonna be fun!

    I’m taking Home Ec too! I love it so, so much already. I’ve only made the *bonus* pin cushion since that was the only thing I had enough fabric for! I stocked up on fabric today and I’m ready to rock-n-roll. : ) I’ll link up with you as soon as I get some pics of my completed projects…. P.S- What a fun idea!

    See ya in class!

    Yay, what a great idea! So far I’ve only done the pincushion, but I have my napkin fabric all squared-up and ready to go. I’ll definitely partake in your link-up par-tay! Woot!
