{Blog Hop ’10 — meet Gussy}

Filed Under: for fun

Today I’m linking up to Robin’s Blog Hop ’10 party, which is a fun & easy way to “meet” other bloggers.

If you’re a regular around here you know how much I like to celebrate community :] So of course I had to participate!

Welcome new people! :]

Main thing to know about this site:
This is a community of handmade-ness. If you like to create, learn, gawk, blog — or any mix of that, you’ll like it here.

Main things you’ll see around here:

  • photos of my ruffled Gussy items & other handmade projects
  • bi-monthly Featured Artist posts {a fun feature + giveaway on another handmade shop}
  • a lot of talk about the handmade industry — how to be successful with your business, tips on running your own biz, organizational ideas for your biz, etc.

{Dare me to type “handmade” and “business” one more time?} :]

I think what makes this site so successfully intriguing is how fast everything has come together. Not even 2 years ago I sat down and threaded a sewing machine for my very first time, and today I’m managing my handmade business exclusively full-time {yay!}, Gussy.

When I’m not working, my husband and I are hanging in downtown Minneapolis {where we live}. We love to be outside and explore the cities. And I drink a lot of coffee… It’s a wonderful habit that I can’t get enough of. {don’t hate}

I hope you’ll stick around. I say silly things and mess up sayings {like “when worse comes to shove” — that’s my favorite!}, but I love to chat & learn, and get to know other shop owners/bloggers ♥

xoxo.

    Hi, Gus! It’s great to see a familiar face along the Hop. I hop your way every day, but wanted to say Hi! I just love my Gussy netbook bag. I foresee the larger bag in my future, too! I hope you have a spectacular weekend!

    You introduced yourself to me at Blissdom and when I saw your name in the Blog Hop list, I had to come by and say “hi” again. Your shop is full of lovely things. Your signature ruffle is memorable and fun. I hope we’ll cross paths again sometime.

    Just stopping by from the blog hop…I just started doing some little sewing projects with my kids. So far I’ve made them each a super hero cape (well, two done one to go…almost fininshed). Tote bags are next. I have a hard time finding time to fit it in with everything else, but I do enjoy it when I get the chance. Cheers!
