Ten things that help me stay focused
while being Gussy:

1. Keep a creative workspace

2. Music. Must be on!

3. Organize what I need to sew and group projects according to fabric {and required thread color}

4. Keep computer in another room ;)

5. Set small goals. “I will sew through this pile and then I will _______ {eat lunch, take a break, check my email, switch the laundry.}

6. Schedule blog posts to post in the future. This helps me work when it’s “work time” and blog when “everyone is asleep”. Hah. Should I be asleep then, too…?

7. Meet and maintain blog friends that can encourage you with your creativity

8. Similar to point #4: Mute computer {so dings, beeps, and all other “alerts” are shushed}

9. Maintain a blog schedule calendar {super important}

10. Keep my products something I’m interested in/would want to own

I think it’s so important to stay on top of your goals, too. I set weekly and monthly goals and love when I can update them, add to them, or simply check them off my list :) I also really stay on top of my calendar and am always checking it. It helps me to remember what I have going on {especially for upcoming giveaways!} I am really good at overworking my brain. Keeping a calendar helps me to “forget” all the little things. And… Gussy is getting a lot of “little things” lately. Oh my, yes she is.

I mean, Yes I am.

Okie dokie. Time to take a break since I’m talking to myself. I wish you all a wonderful week. Stay warm! :)
