WE’RE HAVING ANOTHER BABY! ♥ Did you see my announcement last week? I have tiny yellow hearts exploding from my eyes, I’m so so so excited and thankful for a second pregnancy! What’s interesting to me is so far this pregnancy is exactly like my first. Just like with Maxwell, which we didn’t find out the gender (and we aren’t this time, either), I’m carrying straight in front and I have crazy fruit cravings. Most guessed we were having a girl with baby #1, but we were blessed with 9.5 lbs of baby boy last March. As usual, I was really tired throughout the first trimester, but once I jumped to the second trimester that mostly went away and I started having some serious nesting urges. I absolutely love being pregnant :) One thing I’ve noticed is my belly button is already showing itself. It’s the small things, right? ;)

This second pregnancy is flying by. Before we know it I’ll be halfway through, which Zack and I remind each other of often. We are just over the moon (and maybe a tiny but unsure how parents handle two babies under 19 months?). I’m enjoying re-learning what is happening with each weekly development milestone. I always forward the emails from BabyCenter to my mom, and recently one of the weekly updates said the baby is learning how to make facial expressions/move her eyebrows. And what you need to know is Zack is very expressive with his eyebrows when he’s talking (we giggle over this often), so when my mom read that in the weekly developmental email she had to call me to say it made her laugh out loud! :) See, it’s definitely the small things.

My dress (non-maternity) and sandals are from Old Navy and my cream flower ring is from Forever 21. Any questions? See you in the comments! :)

PS. This list is absolutely overwhelming for me.

We just found out the sex of our little one on Monday. I wanted to wait but I have no willpower… this is our first. You look amazing & so stylish… I’m kinda jealous of the great clothes you get to wear thanks to the lovely Cali weather!

I absolutely LOVE being pregnant & I am enjoying every new development in mine & my baby’s body {hello, thicker hair}. I feel more beautiful than ever!

Couldn’t wait, huh?! ;D Yes… the weather here is quite a perk, especially after growing up in the Midwest! Thanks for your sweet comment!

My first two were 19 months apart and it is PERFECT. Seriously, I would not change a thing. . .we tried to have our second and third that close too but miscarried :/ Pregnant again now, and while I know that God’s timing is perfect, I am actually a little bummed that my second and third will be “so far” apart (29 mo). You will love having two littles that close!

So exciting! Im just over 20 weeks with my third-my second was born last April shortly after your little guy:). There was a three year gap between my first and second so my anxiety is a bit high about having two under 18 months! So exciting though!!! Enjoy your pregnancy:)

Maggie, you look great! I’m so happy you are enjoying being pregnant. For so many women, it’s a horrible time because the felt so sick all the time. I had a bit of nausea the first trimester but nothing a saltine cracker couldn’t help with. But that was it. I too enjoyed the baby when they had the hiccups, I loved their movements & kicks. And we didn’t find out the gender with either one. It killed everyone else but us!

My boys are 2 + 3/4 years apart. I thought it seemed far enough apart but we look at pics and video and I realize how young my oldest really was. But when you first come home to change the diaper of your older child, you realize how big his bottom is. So the comparisons are conflicting at times. LOL.

Ohhhhhh, I’m so so thankful that I’m not nauseous. Like, so thankful. I’m really good at over doing it throughout the day, which makes me tired early yet very restless come bedtime. You always leave such encouraging/kind advice :) I appreciate you!

My first two were 8 MINUTES apart and it was fine. Seven years between no 2 and 3. A little shell shocked with the first two. You’ll be great with two under two – as time goes by, they will love having a sibling so close in age. They’ll be great friends. Congrats Maggie.

My first two were 18 1/2 months a part. There will definitely be crazy times, but it is so worth it! You will survive! Celebrate the little victories in the beginning. Mine are 3 and 21 months now. We just welcomed Baby 3 and I am excited to have all 3 of my children so close in age. Babies are such blessings! Wishing you all the best! You got this, Momma!❤️

2 of my babies are 16 months apart, but what is shocking to me is the fact that my brother and I are 11 months and 3 weeks apart!!!!! So, all this to give you encouragement :) God bless!

Our daughter was a few days short of 17 months when we had our son. We wanted them close in age because we knew we only wanted to have two babies. It’s rough.. But totally worth it! I love each and every day!! Hard or easy. Being a mommy is the best job in the world! I even have two handmade shops and manage to somehow keep up with those during nap times.. So anything is possible once you get past the beginning stage when you’re getting used to it all. The second one is definitely less stressful than the first if you were a freak out crazy person he called the nurse about everything like me haha. Not to scare you, but everyone told us our 16month old would LOVE the new baby, and she hated him.. She loves him now though.. So if by chance that happens… Just remember it takes time! I felt so sad like I did something horrible for the longest time.. Not she loves him {most days} haha. Congrats and good luck to you all!!

Congrats! You look amazing! I wish I had some good advice with having 1 and 2 close together, but I don’t… But they’ll be really close friends later on! My siblings and I are all super close and we’re all over 2-3 years apart.

Congratulations. So exciting! My daughter is close to Maxwells age and I’m having major baby fever. Waiting probably a year, but I love seeing all of the pregnant mommies and new babies.

ps. just looked at that baby names list and it is amazing! have you shared how you picked out Maxwells name? Did you go into the pregnancy having a set name for a boy and one for a girl or were you up in the air?

By the time my pregnancy with Maxwell was over we had a boy name and a girl name picked out, including middle names. We were just waiting on the baby’s gender to know what to pick :) One tip a reader gave me early in my first pregnancy was to choose a name that sounds good if you are yelling it, she said she had children that ran off constantly and she was always yelling after them by name. Kinda made me giggle :) I can’t remember where we first heard Maxwell that made us consider it, but we both loved it right away and in the end it’s the one that felt best to us.

First of all, you look so cute! Pregnancy definitely agrees with you! You will do absolutely great with 2 kids 19 months apart. My last two kids are 13 months apart, and it is fantastic!! They are super close to each other, and I just adore their relationship. Even though they know they weren’t, they think they were born at the same time because they only know being with each other. They are 7 and 8 now, and such blessings. I am amazed daily (and oh so ever grateful) at how much love my heart holds for all 4 of my kids — you will be abundantly blessed yet again as you welcome a new little person into your family :) Blessings!
