Hello there! I’ve got some meetings scheduled for the morning and then I “booked” myself to my studio for the afternoon. It’s going to be a great day — I love me some time with my sewing machine.

Here are some of my favorite items in the shop right now ~ can you see I’m drawn to yellow? :]

painted leaves wristlet | yellow woodgrain tote/diaper bag | medium zipped pouches

Share with us: what color or handmade item are you drawn to right now?

My favorite handmade item in my etsy shop is my “wish” pillow in majestic oak fabric by joel dewberry. It’s yellow. I’m lovin yellow, and esp. yellow and gray together! I love how you combine those two colors. BTW, the spools are so cute in that picture! Wishing you a happy day!

For some reason I’ve been drawn to springy plaids lately. Hot pink, yellow, green, etc. As somebody else commented, I think it’s the cold dreary weather we’ve been having. These colors feel fresh and alive! I just finished sewing a runner for my kitchen table and it brightens up the whole room!!

sew, i love your spool of “thread” idea in the vase. totally digging through my recycling box in my sewing room to get all the spools out. i always thought it was impossible to go through a spool of thread…… but not so much! it’s amazing how fast i go through them! cute idea!

my current color…..pinks, but not baby pink. i am in the mood for springy colors! i am also drawn to material on line that i haven’t broke down to buy yet….

what are some of your favorite fabric sites???

I’ve been sewing up cute ruffly burp cloths and some simple baby wipes. The color scheme for the nursery is blue, beige and green, so I’m into those colors right now.

Right now, I’m into seersucker. Anything seersucker. While not a color exactly, it’s a fabric that comes with so many memories of spring and summer in the South–my Daddy’s suits, little Easter outfits and egg hunts, gardens and fresh tomatoes, sweet tea, and hot, humid weather. I’m so over this winter weather business!!!!
